Paige Entrance Fix

So @Cave Waverider found the issue with Advanced Entrance Creation.  It has something to do with Paige being unlocked in her native slot of 343. 

So we could move he from that slot.  However I think a better solution would be to fill that menu slot with something else.

So there are the previews & the actual animation that need to be changed, along with the championship entrance.

these should be possible to add using the trick similar to what I did with Minitrons, but I have no real intrest in doing this right now so that's why I'm making it a request.

I can help along the way, and if people have questions I'll try to anser them to my best ability.

Also for the actual animation we could rename in WWE 2K15\Pac\evt\Entrance.Pac (421 .pac) to (434 .pac) to turn paige's entrance to the atv entrance.

I don't know what he championsihp entrance number should be, hopefully someone on console may know

I haven't done testing so this could easily not work and require a different process... but we will work at it.

To clarify, the Advanced Creation issue is separate, and it probably can be worked around by using a .moveset file of a wrestler that had advanced creation saved as a template for the .moveset files.

The Paige issue has to do with unlocking her native slot 434 as DLC to add the wrestler in it to the bonus superstars selection menu (doesn't matter if you have Paige in that slot or any other wrestler), which messes up the menu for entrance animations for all wrestlers as it adds a Paige entrance and championship entrance to the menu and since the actual files for the preview and the entrance aren't in the game, the game hangs upon entereing a entrance animation selection page with either Paige's regular or Championship entrance on it.

That said, changing the entrance IDs of hidden entrances like Austin's ATV entrance may be a good workaround. Perhaps we could change her championship entrance to Orton's pre-DLC one with the belt on the shoulder as well (if we figure out what the ID is for that one).
I'm willing to give it a shot. How would I proceed?

Or if it was possible to import and add entrances from the previous-generation console versions, we could also try adding Paige's entrances from there. Next to the PC version, I've only got the game on Xbox One, so I can't fetch it myself.

If any people that are versed with modding entrances on the console versions would like to pitch in, it'd be much appreciated.

So what I tried to do so far was to open Entrance03.pac (the file where I could find 421 in) and change the two 421 entries to 434. However, this didn't fix the problem for regular entrances. I think that this is only one part of the fix as it just replaces the full entrance but not the animated menu preview image.
Perhaps if we could fix the preview as well it might not hang anymore. Does anybody know which file the animated entrance preview images are located in and what that's called? If the 421 entrance even has a preview image, that is.

By the way, it might be a good idea to reserve slot 334 as a fallback slot for Paige in case we don't find another workaround to the issue other than keeping the 434 slot empty/not unlocked as DLC.

Malan, it isn't about mooded Paige's entrance per se, it's about a problem with the entrance animation selection menu in the entrance creation suite where a new entry for the real Paige DLC's entrance animation from Xbox One/PS4 (which doesn't exist in the PC version) is added if you unlock slot 434 as DLC (doesn't really matter what's in that slot).

To recreate the bug if you have Paige (or any other character in slot 434) unlocked as DLC and thus available in the Bonus superstars menu:

1. In the main menu Go to Creations.
2. Go to Entrance.
3. Go to Superstar.
4. Select any Superstar.
5. Go to Easy Creation.
6. Select the current entrance animation which will bring you to the menu with the preview icons to select the entrance animation.
7. Scroll through the pages with the preview icons until you get to a page where there is a "Paige" entry with a generic image
8. Notice that your game becomes unresponsive, won't allow you to switch to a different page in the menu and "hangs" (you can go back, but then you can't do anything anymore).  Thus you can't change the entrance animation for any superstars anymore through create an entrance.

Could you try this and see if this happens to you, too? Or perhaps you've done something that fixes it, since I see you've got a minitron installed for her that I don't have.

The only good workaround right now seems to be to lock/clear the 434 and move Paige to slot 334 (or another free slot) instead. Hopefully we'll find another one.

Yeah, as with all such experimenting, backup your save first. If the game hangs, it shouldn't have any ill effects, but one never knows. Just be prepared to kill it using the Windows task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or CTRL+ALT+DEL and select Task Manager) if it hangs, or better test it in windowed mode and click the X to close the game if it hangs.

Basically its when paige is installed in the community DLC if you try and change somebody's advanced entrance including the title entrance. If you go on the page where Paige's pre-sets are it will lock up. 

There is another thread on this but seems nobody was able to resolve the issue.

Isn't the answer right there in your link? Put her in another slot.

Robbie686 I found a way to fix it. If you want to change Paige's entrance just go in cheat engine and change address for both dlc hex addresses 1426119A1 & 142611AFD to byte 0. Make the game save it. After that you can change Paige's entrance without any problems. After you get Paige's entrance set. Go back in cheat engine and change dlc hex 1 address 1426119A1 to 1 byte and dlc hex 2 address 142611AFD  to 50 byte. Save changes in game and your ready to go.

I think the reason this happens is because the game expects a Paige entrance in there when you install a her. When it can't find it the game just crashes.

You'll need to lock her by setting the unlock flag for slot 434 to 00, otherwise if you have removed the .pac file the game will want to use her randomly and crash. And the problem with the entrance animation menu will still be there, too, if you don't lock slot 434. Or you could just set the DLC flag to 0, which will keep her in the game without issues, although she won't be selectable via the Bonus Superstars menu.
