Unable to move CAWs to new save

Okay, so through the power of the Internet I discovered that this is an issue that people have encountered before, but I have been unable to find a thread that provides assistance on this specific step of the issue I've been having.

A few days ago I booted up the game on my Xbox 360 and received a message that the save file was corrupt. The game suggested I create a new save which would wipe all the CAW, etc., information. I have almost 100 CAWs and while I can re-download some, I created around 50 from scratch and heavily edited a couple dozen others. That's a lot of invested time to just throw out. So I moved all my CAW data to a USB, then reset the game. I followed the online suggestion to create dummy CAWs, then move the original CAW files back over them. No dice.

Basically, I now have a new save on my Xbox, the created arena, logo, and story data, along with all of the DLC, are intact. However, moving CAW data over causes the game to state that the custom superstar data is corrupt. Is there something I am missing here? Is there any way I can save all the data? Should I modify the CAW files in some way before I try to move them back onto the Xbox hard disk? Thanks.
