Red Rooster Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Apparently Natalya asked him on Total Divas to go an get scanned to be in the new game. Thats all I know, I didnt watch it so I cant confirm it myself but the thread i read it in (on some inferior website) had several people confirming what was said.Probably part of the Austin Showcase so fingers-crossed for LOD, Owen etc 1 Quote
RyanG619 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Agree ^ and he hasn't been in a wrestling game series since SvR 07, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart Quote
AlcLegacy Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Natalya said that the game developers wanted to scan him. Pretty sure he's in. Not too sure in the history of the Austin vs Bret fued, but was Neidhart involved? Quote

IamCrazyPT Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 If Neidhart is in the game, Owen, Britsh Bulldog, Pillman and Bret must be in it too. Quote
Ticaliano Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hart Foundation in 2K16? In for the pre-order. Quote
Titavius Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 (edited) This sounds like it could be a fantastic Showcase. I think it'll be a collection of Austin's better feuds from the 90's. Don't forget, Austin and Michaels were tag team champions during the Hart Foundation feud, so as well as Austin vs. Neidhart, we may even get Austin / Michaels vs. Owen / Bulldog Edited July 15, 2015 by Titan83 Quote

I just don't see how that's gonna happen. she already threw a tantrum over the owen dvd that's supposedly in the works. she'd probably go bonkers if owen was in a wrestling game. DrJoeyMagnum Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 But the Nation was on Raw! I thought you were homies 4Life? Quote
the King Lives Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 But the Nation was on Raw! I thought you were homies 4Life? your point? at that point the nation was boring to me.. Ahmed was already starting to be jobbed out, and on his way out of the company, WCW in 97 was way more entertaining than WWF at that time. all wwf circumvented around was the nation, the foundation and austin bret hbk and trips.. atleast that's how i saw it at that time. like i said WCW just seemed way more entertaining at that period. Sunny Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 They go out of their way to bury the WCW on their Network shows when they were producing quality programming around that period. Sure, they acknowledge it, but they don't give it its proper due. It's sad there isn't a showcase or Season Mode which specifically focuses on WCW and highlights the positives that did come out of it instead of constantly reminding us of its darker days. Quote
Bob_Van_Dam Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Neidhart was the least interesting in the Hart Foundation but still cool I guess, hopefully Owen makes the game. I hope he wasn't drugged out for the scanning session, dude has been looking crazy in videos in the past year or two. Quote

Sure, some would argue that it's no different than when vince won the WWF title but still lol.and yeah if they focused on say Great american bash 96 (the bischoff powerbomb incident) to say Starrcade 98 (which i know is a bit of a stretch for some that's more than 2 years of history but i'd be all for it. hell just subcontract a company to (and i know this might not be possible) work under 2k to create a specific game dedicated to the WCW and WWF 96-98 years. I'd be all for it. The WCW Pack they added for 15 was kinda ridiculous the only decent people from that pack were bam bam, luger, ddp and finlay. I never cared much for regal's wcw gimmick and finlay had a more popular storyline in 98 albeit it was the finlay with short hair not the long hair. Which was something else silly: They gave him his 98 tron basically. but he had his 95 look lol. IDK .. i'm not really looking forward to the Season pass announcement where there's like 50 extra characters and you only get 3 because the pass is only for showcase and you have to pay for everything else. I let it slide last year cause i had that digital deluxe edition but i think if i do get it day one, i'll just get the standard disc edition. Quote
Titavius Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) I was WWF for the Golden years, then WCW during the Monday Night wars.. then jumped back on the WWF bang wagon when WCW started taking on more water than the Titanic. If they ever did a full-on WCW showcase, it'd be like watching a Benoit match on the network.. edited to fuck Edited July 16, 2015 by Titan83 1 Quote
HarlotEffect Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I hope with this Stone Cold showcase we get King of The Ring 1996 as a starting point. But Hart Foundation Vs Austin would be great to see, I just hope they don't make it feel too much like WWE'13 in the showcase like hopefully not have all the same matches. Quote

If they ever did a full-on WCW showcase, it'd be like watching a Benoit match on the network.. edited to fuckyeah that's true.. i still got pissed off how on the best of nitro sets they edited goldberg jericho and ddp's themes. after seeing what 2k did with DDP's theme, i just don't see a wcw anything being authentic at all. It's a shame when wcw/nWo world tour and revenge came out it was before the days of commentary, special ref matches, in depth story modes etc. But yeah i agree with you. My cousin tried to get me into wrestling when he was 9 and i was 12. i wasn't into it this was 92. seeing sting and vader wrestling on the top turnbuckle on wcw saturday night and schiavonne saying "we're out of time the tape machines are rolling we'll let you know what happened next week." in the middle of a match just kinda killed the immersion factor for me. I didn't start watching wrestling till the wrestling games came out. First it was WCW vs The World, WCW vs nWo world tour, then Power move pro wrestling (i loved that game cause you could choose whether you wanted to submit or not kinda like in DOR) then War Zone, WM2K, no Mercy well you get the picture lol. only game around that time that i absolutely hated was backstage assault. I gave attitude a break since it had a create an arena feature, low budget feature but fun to use and play in nonetheless. After WCW started passing the title from jarrett to nash to flair etc. and throwing titles away. that was when istarted to tune into WWF (well the first time was when schiavonne gave away the finish to mankind/nash) Anyway i just hope if we do get 80% of the hart foundation that we actually get a decent tag and 3 man trio entrances for them. I'd be pissed if all we got was those generic ones that are in 15.I hope with this Stone Cold showcase we get King of The Ring 1996 as a starting point. But Hart Foundation Vs Austin would be great to see, I just hope they don't make it feel too much like WWE'13 in the showcase like hopefully not have all the same matches. i wouldn't mind the WWE13 stuff considering how WWE13 was a let down in the gameplay department.I did think of something earlier today around the time you tweeted/retweeted about swagger deleting his twitter. think about this: SVR09 was badSVR10 was goodSVR11 was badWWE12 was somewhat good]WWE13 was Mediocre to BadWWE2K14 was ExcellentWWE2K15 was Mediocre. If this trend of every other game being good continues i'd say that 2k16 could be a great experience but that's just my opinion lol.
