Carlzilla Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Basically it allows you to "switch memory cards" like back in the old ps2 days. It's not super advanced, and the save has a checksum that so far no one has been able to crack, so it doesn't allow you to copy guys from one save to another (use the CC for that)...but it does allow you to easily switch between, say, all Original created wrestlers and your ROH/Indy save or your WWF Legends save...and with only 50 slots, I have a feeling I'm not the only person who doesn't like mixing themes regarding their created wrestlers.DOWNLOAD:https://www.mediafire.com/?kfo12x5hkn92c9gWhen you first start it up, you'll have to select your "/Steam/userdata/<USER ID>/" folder. The program will find the "/Steam/userdata/" folder as long as steam is installed in the default location on a x64 OS. This means all you'll have to do is pick the correct USER ID directory. If your Steam is installed in a location other than the default, you'll have to find the all the directories yourself.***Also, I've done plenty of testing, and it has always worked fine for me, but I'm not responsible if something screws up your save.*** Edited June 28, 2015 by Carlzilla 1 Quote
PickleTennis Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 That is really neat. Good work on the tool. Quote
Carlzilla Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) That is really neat. Good work on the tool. Thanks. I always hated not being able to have multiple saves in these games. Now I can. Figured if I hated it, other people probably did as well, so I shared it. Edited June 29, 2015 by Carlzilla Quote
Truth Pooper Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 So now I could have multiple Universe games, right? If yes, then this is something very useful Thank you. Quote
jawnny Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Oh wow, this is pretty smart. I'll test this out soon! Great idea though! Quote

ryanbill33 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 why can't I get the right save file location when I have the game installed in the default directory of steam???? it keeps saying that is not a valid steam user ID directory. Program will now exit Can someone help me asap I want to have more than one save on my game 1 for legends and 1 for all the new wwe superstars Quote
Carlzilla Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) What you should select:<drive letter>:\<steam directory>\userdata\<your user ID>\ What you should not select:<drive letter>:\<steam directory>\userdata\<your user ID>\remote\240460\<drive letter>:\<steam directory>\steamapps\common\WWE 2k15\ (though you WILL need to pick this one when it asks for the game directory)or anything else. Also, you need to have run the game and let steam/WWE2k15 create the save directory. If you do not have the "\remote\240460\" subdirectory in your "\Userdata\<User ID>\" directory the program will not work. This is also why it will not work for non stream copies of the game, it automatically adds "\remote\240460\" to whatever you pick, and checks against that to make sure it can't do any harm to your other files. ryanbill33 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 so should I be selecting <drive letter>:\<steam directory>\userdata\<your user ID>\ with my user id as what?????? cause if I go to 240460\ it does not work Quote
Carlzilla Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Updated to allow for custom string.pac files to be backed up with the saves. This allows you to rename replaced theme music and have it stick with the save. This update also informs the user that Steam needs to be in offline mode or WWE 2k15 needs to have "save to cloud" disable in order for the "new save" button to work. so should I be selecting <drive letter>:\<steam directory>\userdata\<your user ID>\ with my user id as what?????? cause if I go to 240460\ it does not work Here's an example of your USER ID directory:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\82567914\"inside this directory should be another directory which is the GAME SAVE DIRECTORY:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\82567914\240460\"DO NOT SELECT THE DIRECTORY CONTAINING 240460! The directory above it in the directory tree is the one you want. Quote
Carlzilla Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Updated again. This update adds a status bar that shows which save is currently loaded. I realized that the drop down box isn't exactly accurate, and it might help some people stay better organized to have that information readily available. Other than that, it's pretty much the same. Here's a new screenshot: Quote

Carlzilla Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) One more update...I lost some movesets while switching between saves because I didn't back up before I switched, this lead me to think "what if the program auto-saved your current save upon exiting WWE 2k15?" so that's what it does now.The program now stays open behind WWE2k15 checking to see if the user quit. Upon quitting it saves the current save information to the appropriate save directory. Because this does use a tiny bit of processing power every 5ish seconds to check for the game exiting (it really is incredibly minimal) I've made it optional. This way if you're using an older computer and you need literally all the processing power available, you can turn the feature off and the program will behave as it always did, exiting when you click run game. pozzum Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 carl my game does not seem to want to save anymore do you happen to have any idea why that could happen?I can switch saves with your save swapper but saving any new changes doesn't seem to work Quote
Carlzilla Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Is the game saving when you're not running the save swapper? If so, I'll have to look into it. Quote
pozzum Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 The Game is not saving under any conditions, I'm going to cut out all save backups and put them on another drive and try again tonight. Quote
pozzum Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 problem has been fixed, does not seem to have happened due to the save swapper but some other random problem with the game. Fixed by closing the game with the X Button Quote
Carlzilla Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) I have no idea what leads to the error that cause the game not to save, but I found a fool proof fix it seems, and I've worked the fix into my save swapper program...that way you can backup and restore your current save without loosing anything due to the fix. Because, strangely enough, it's not a file error despite that being what it seems like, so your save is completely restorable with minimal effort. You'll know this error because if you try to download anything from Community Creations it'll tell you that the content is damaged. If you're wondering what the details are, basically it has to do with the fact that the game uses the Steam API to save data to your \userdata\...\ folder, and for whatever reason that function gets corrupted. The solution is to REMOVE the entire \...\userdata\[USER ID]\240460\ folder from your machine and restart the game, forcing steam to recreate the directory. This has been working for users since the game launched, but it normally resulted in the loss of save data...with the Save Swapper, you don't have to lose anything when you apply the fix.You can find the 'Fix Save Error' option in the tool drop down menu at the top of the program. It's pretty much automated, but you'll have to answer a question or two along the way. Edited July 27, 2015 by Carlzilla 2 Quote
beastedot9 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Very good to see a fix for this. This issue seems to be there since the game launched and is even evident on consoles. They never bothered patching it as far as I can see, just instructions about not staying on the menu too long lol.I've been meaning to say this before but now is as good a time as any. I want to apologise if I made it seem like the save swapper was causing this. Was not my intention. Regardless, great work and thank you for the fix Quote
Carlzilla Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 Don't worry about it. I'm definitely not above tearing down my stuff to make sure it isn't causing more problems than it fixes...and it's doing something that the game isn't really supposed to support, so it's 100% possible that it could have caused problems. Luckily, it doesn't seem to, and the fix was easy enough to work in...and for all I know, swapping saves could cause this to happen more frequently. It certainly isn't the only cause for it, because it's existed a lot longer than my save swapper, but it happens to me pretty regularly, and I didn't even equate what happens to me with what Pozzum was talking about because I didn't even realize that the game refused to save...I just knew it wouldn't download anything from CC. 1 Quote
