Defract Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Hey guys, I'm looking into modding and I've got quite a few things sorted. one thing i'm struggling with is 000A files. These obviously contain some important textures such as the normals and eye textures. I'm trying to change the eye colour in this file. I am currently able to locate and decompress the archive correctly using the utility function in x-packer. Then modify the eye.dds and inject it back into 000A.zlib.decompressedWhat i'm struggling with is getting the 000A file back into the PACH and ultimately the PAC file to move it back into the game without the game locking up... Could anyone shed some light on this? as I think if I can understand this I can start producing some decent mods. Quote
beastedot9 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) You open the PACH with CTRL +3 and inject the 000A texture archive in the appropriate place. Then Ctrl+Q to open the pac file which will be ch###.pac and inject the PACH file. Edit: Looking at your post more, it seems you're able to inject but it's freezing the game. What version of X-packer are you using? Edited June 21, 2015 by beastedot9 Quote
beastedot9 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) Latest version mate.Hmm, I was wondering because you were using the utilities function instead of extracting, decompressing and injecting as normal. I'll try it myself in a bit and see what could be causing it as I haven't looked at the eye textures yet. Just tried it, game doesn't freeze up. My recommendation is using the extract and uncompress within X-packer rather than the utilities tab. Edited June 21, 2015 by beastedot9 Quote
Defract Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 When I look to do it without the utilities menu I get these file extensions. Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) You need to use the "Open Texture Archive" Option in the PC menu (purple one) you have used the Texture Archive button for console files. Edited June 22, 2015 by Red Rooster Quote
