mrelectriccity Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Yeah xbox just announced backward capability for Xb1 available now for preview program members available everyone this fall. Not only will it automatically show your 360 games u have bought digitally but you'll also be able to put the 360 disc in the xb1 and install it. Now he's the good part all of your game saves will also be transferred to Xb1. So you should be able to use save editor for your 360 game on pc, save it and load it back up in 360 normally and save it and then once its saved on console load it up on Xb1, & it should transfer your new settings you just modded with save editor. Of course im guessing that how it works, not sure it if its a one time transfer of data or it will continue to transfer data anytime something is changed on the game on your 360 console, hopefully so. also one of the new futuristic war games its not Halo but game similar to it will have a feature for the first time and thats allow modding. Anything you mod on your pc u can transfer to the Xb1 game, which is pretty cool even though dont really get into those type of games, hopefully more game developers will start doing the same thing. Bob_Van_Dam Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 If this new futuristic war game you're talking about is Fallout 4, never compare it to Halo... ever. Halo is hot trash. That's a discussion for another time though, I think you're over thinking this whole thing. They said mods just for Fallout 4 right now. Quote
IamCrazyPT Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 If Microsoft allows this for all the games i will sell my ps4 and buy a xbox one. Quote
Bob_Van_Dam Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 It's not really a microsoft thing, it's a game developer thing. Quote
mrelectriccity Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 it says it says it transfers your data from 360 to xb1. for example say WWE 2k14 i believe i have it downloaded digitally so it would automatically appear on my xb1 when its the backward capability becomes available and like other Xb1 games you have to install the game. And when u load up the game it will have all your CAW and stats from the 360 and not having to start all the way over. And if thats the case if your game save data is modified with a save editor those settings should transfer to the Xb1 right? for example using a save editor you modify the match rules and say u have the 6 Man Hell In A Cell an elimination match and you could either eliminate your opponents by pin, first blood, or putting through flamming tables lol. those same match rules settings should be playable on Xb1 version since its transferring the save data. and im not referring to the kinda mods you use on jtag360 or whatever the ps3 version is called where actually replace game files modding which i believe is what their talking about on that one game that allows modding. But the kind im referring to is the kind that uses a save editor and mods the game save data. Quote
mrelectriccity Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) But you can only mod 360 titles not Xbox One titles. yeah but like 2k15 they have 360 & xb1 version, i much rather play the 360 version with a save editor than the regular Xb1 version because it will be way funner. Sure graphics are not quiet as good and wont be able to edit the superstars like u can on Xb1 but i'd be willing to give up those features all for the match rules modifier lmao plus it has a logo importer and a render injector. Also i believe they said if your playing a 360 game u can still take advantage of all Xb1 feat like photo snap & record clip, and all the other things you can do with a normal xb1 game. And if your playing a 360 game on Xb1 live you can play against people thats playing the same game on their 360 consoles which is pretty cool. But im still a little confused on backward capabilities because i know that it has a few games available now for backward capability and will be adding dozens more every more for digital download and it says that if you already own the game on the list it automatically show up in ques to download. No when it comes out to everyone in the fall, im not sure if the game disc applies the same way, like only the disc of games on the list works or you'd be able to install any 360 game as long as you have the disc if not have to wait till it is added to the digital library. And if thats the case that really sucks because like usual 80% of the titles are indy games mixed with a couple of big titles, so we would have to wait a long time to get any wwe game or gta game MK game etc. Edited June 16, 2015 by mrelectriccity Quote
