AlcLegacy Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Is it possible? I've had to replace Jack Swagger with Tekken's Goldberg as adding him to the game wasnt working. Quote
beastedot9 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 The string.pac file has the names. Just open it up in a hex editor, use the search function for jack swagger and replace all entries if you want to completely replace him. Goldberg is shorter so just replace the rest with 00. Quote
AlcLegacy Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 I got the Mod working how its supposed to now, but I tried editing the string by replacing all of jack swaggers hex with Goldberg (adding 00 to the rest of the hex that was used by swaggers name) and my game wouldnt launch. Any certain way to edit the string? Quote

Any certain way to edit the string? Only thing I can think of is that you used the backspace key and accidentally deleted something. Can't you use the new xpacker to rename? That said, yes you can. I mentioned the hex way because it was just easier for me to search for the name. With X-packer, open as pac file, extract 4000 and then open that as PACH file. The strings are in the files that appear. So uncompress them to desktop or a folder then in X-packer press ctrl+0 to open one of them, my guess is it would be in the 0000 file. You can sort by name to make searching quicker. Quote

When you're searching tick 'ignore case' or something like that. Quote
