I have a problem with Injecting new hair.

I did some editing on hair model of HBK by modding these files:

'2715.yobj', '000A.pac(hair.dds & hair_n.dds)', and '000C.pac(head.dds & head_f.dds)'

I injected those modded files back into 00014502.pac and 00014504.pac by simply clicking the 'inject file' button.

After that, I also injected those pach files back into the original 145.pac file with the same method.

Then I tried to check the ingame but it only showed the default HBK.

I also deleted the arc file like way before.

Is there anything that I missed?

/////did you inject the pacs into the pac inside the steam wwe folder or did you do use a backup?

@AlcLegacy

I injected the modded pachs(00014502,00014504) into the default 145.pac which I moved into a different backup folder.

Then I located the modded 145.pac into the ch folder inside game folder.

Did you delete the backup file? for example "ch145.pac.bak"   I believe thats how it appears.

@AlcLegacy

Yes I did. Would that be a problem?

No. Just thought that may be defaulting it for you.

What did you do to the hair? Did you edit it in 3ds max or any other program? If so did you re-inject it via X rey?

@AlcLegacy

I used Edge's 2715.yobj to get the obj file and modded it with Blender.

I reinjected the modded obj to Edge's yobj by using x-rey.

Then, I reinjected the Edge's 2715.yobj into HBK's 00014502.pac with x-packer.

Finally, I injected that pach into the 145.pac.

I did inject both modded 00014502.pac and modded 00014504.pac.

I also modded 000A.pac and 000C.pac but those were HBK's. I followed the same process.

I thought i did the injection thoroughly but this happened so yeah.

Is there any tutorial that I can go through?

Make sure that you do not have any backups of the pac file in your game directory. Also ensure that you have copied your modified file into the directory. Then test the mod in a match, sometimes the creation suite does not preview the changes.

Thanks for the answer.

I've tried multiple times thinking that I may have left the backup file or did something wrong while injecting the mods but nothing really changed.

I always make a separate folder on the desktop for all the work so that the backup files wouldn't go inside the ch folder.

Also I've injected the hair to all the attires to see if any of them would work and I've tested all the attires in a match too. Nothing really changed.

So I kinda gave up on it and put Bravebird31's mod back into the ch folder.

However,his mod didn't show up too...

Do you have anything in your mind?

This thing really kills me since I'm a huge HBK's fan....
