pozzum Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I've been trying to comment out what most of what the game files do. I've been able to get through a good chunk of the important and easier ones, but I'd just like another person to bounce ideas off of especially while I'm at work. (where I can't unpack files of course) There are so many projects I want to get going on with this but I only end up getting to 1 or 2 of them a night and most of them are memory edits because they are very powerful. Two highlights of what I'd like help with right now. 1. A File List of whats inside WWE 2K15\Sound\Game_Sound_M.pck (I don't know much about the sound files yet so it's been on the back burner) 2. A file list With comments of evt_belt01.pac evt_belt02.pac evt_belt03.pac from WWE 2K15\Pac\Evt (the file numbers will help with memory editing universe mode.) 3 WWE 2K15\DLC10\pac\dlc_dlc10.pac just caught my eye and I want to know what's in it but I'm going to forget by the time I get home XD I'll help out with any troubles you have and of course you can bounce ideas off me to try and work out anything you need help with. Thanks, Pozzum Quote
LordJustice17 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Added all the arena entrance files. And a few of the other arena assets I could remember. It would be awesome if someone could go through and note what each SPOTLIGHT, CEILING LIGHT, and IBL setting did. It would be time consuming but would not require XPacker or unpacking anything. Arena values could just be changed in the misc_start01dlc60.pac file using HxD and changes could be observed in game. 1 Quote

Side question, so does the misc file care where you end up putting your extra arena files? Like if you put them in a separate folder would the game still find them? I know a lot of people run into that issue with backups being not entirely out of the WWE folder. Quote

I know a lot of people run into that issue with backups being not entirely out of the WWE folder. Haven't tested that so I'm not sure. I presume they need to be in the proper folders. We use a lot of custom pacs though, so a lot of the default pacs aren't touched or overwritten. Quote

But changing the value for ibl seems to give different camera angles at entrances. Edited June 9, 2015 by beastedot9 Quote

That's Interesting, perhaps it could be something that could be used to fix the bugs I found with the Alexander Rusev Entrance. Quote
LordJustice17 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 That's very interesting. I wonder if there is a camera angle that would play nice with the ECW arena I'm working on. Quote
TheBleedingRed21 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Are we sure IBL is camera angle? It would make sense I guess with the size of the file and having to have all wrestlers. I thought it was lighting related lol. Quote

I thought it was lighting related lol. I think you're right. I looked at what ibl means and from what I'm getting it is image based lighting. I'm guessing there were different angles for each image/video which results in the different camera angle. The textures in ibl show that format as well. Most of them are called 'envr brdf'. It's beyond me right now lol but reading up on it more could shed some light on how to alter lighting/angles. Quote
pozzum Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Was looking at the DLC and it seems that Hall of Pain & Path of the Warrior had new ibl files but One More Match Didn't so they had to add a lighting style that wasn't already in the game perhaps? (Possibly WM 29 for the HoP, no clue for PoW) Quote
