eri619 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) First of all,you have to download Windows Software Development Kit. Then,go to your start menu and type “dxcpl.exe” When the Direct X Properties opens, under the scope tab select “Edit List” Add The 2K15 exe file to the list. Now close the list box and in the bottom box of the main windows where it says “Feature Level Limit” you need to select “11_1″ (should be the highest) Select the checkbox that says “Force WARP” (This is what forces DX10 instead) Hit apply and run your game! This Worked for me in the case of Watch Dogs, haven't tested it with 2K15 yet.Someone please try it and post the results. Note:- The Frame Rate will depend on how good a DX10 hardware you have.Better the quality,Better the output frame rate you will get. Twistedmisery666™ Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Does it even matter which you play on ? Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Does it even matter which you play on ? I'd assume it will run slower in DirectX 10, since DirectX11 calls are being rerouted/emulated, so it's probably moot unless you don't have DX11 compatible hardware which this is meant for and drivers or display problems specific to the API. eri619 Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 I use a dell laptop,so i can't upgrade my Graphics Card,so i have to follow this. This is for all users who don't have a directX11 hardware, why should i post it otherwise? Quote
Joe Mashups Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 so it runs laggy on my directx 11 if i changed to 10 will it run faster ? Quote
eri619 Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 yes, there are no changes to the graphics if you change it to directx10.Also it depends on the quality of the hardware you possess, please try it and let me know the results. Quote
Joe Mashups Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 it lagged for me but that means itis working Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) it's making the the game even more laggy Of course it is. If you can run the game without this workaround, you don't need it, as it's a wrapper that intercepts the DirectX 11 calls and converts them to DirectX 10 calls, which of course costs additional performance. In addition, DirectX 11 can handle certain calls faster than DirectX 10. This workaround is meant for those that have video cards that aren't DirectX 11 compliant and thus can't run the game at all without it. Edited May 24, 2015 by Cave Waverider 1 Quote
Joe Mashups Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 i remember with bf:bad company 2 if you change to a lower direct x the game becomes more faster this here is the other way around Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) i remember with bf:bad company 2 if you change to a lower direct x the game becomes more faster this here is the other way around I assume that game had a native DirectX 9 or 10 rendering path. In that case, it can of course be faster, since it may be more optimized and also some developers tend to add performance hitting eye candy to their higher rendering paths for whatever reason. This method is using a DirectX fallback wrapper, which naturally costs more performance, since it translates Direct3D11 calls to Direct3D10 calls wich costs processing power. beastedot9 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Sadly it just crashes on boot. Might be a processor issue as I have a video card on par with yours. Could also be ram. Quote
Defract Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I have a core 2 quad 2.8ghz and 4gb ram. Should easily meet minimum. Quote
