Default Camera Angle

Just a thought, but it would be awesome to have the default camera angle moved from the "tv style" sideways angle to one where it faces the entrance ramp, like in No Mercy.  I'm sure, even if possible this would bring with it a slew of complications... particularly directional controls which would probably be flipped...  although... if the directional inputs on the controller could be edited then that would solve that, although some moves would require different directional inputs then.

Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud.. I miss the original Smackdown games angle where you could see the titantron / set, which gave a greater sense of variation in the arenas during matches and not just during entrances. of course with the new HD set up most modern arenas look exactly the same but with some of the older arenas and hopefully some of the new mods.. this could add a lot to the overall aesthetic I think...

Has anyone ever looked into this?

I tried hacking the camera the other day and was able to find the positioning for left/right and zoom but something else seemed to be affecting it because whenever I changed the values it kept reverting back. Because of that the camera was just flickering between the one I changed it to and the default.

Hacking was so much easier with SD2 :(

wow, I forgot you could do this with Smackdown 2. although if I remember correctly, didnt it just flip the entire Arena by 90degrees?

I think I remember the announce table was left where it was originally and stuck in the crowd barrier. Jeez that's a long time ago, haha
