Tomoaki Honma [NJPW]

Tomoaki Honma CAW is now finished and available through community creations. A huge thank you goes to Togdog23 who linked me to a collection of textures from the Wrestle Kingdom game and to IamCazyPT who posted the thread linking these textures. Honma isn't actually in that game but I used the facial texture for Kazunari Murakami which I think turned out pretty well. Looks much better than my previous version.

This one is still a work in progress. Pretty happy with the ring gear but the face and entrance ones could be improved. He looks way too young and needs some blade scarring on his forehead. Also need to finish his moveset as I'm only halfway through that.

 

The attire is a rough re-imagining of his official gear using a similar colour scheme and shapes. Jacket is just a recolouring of Goldust's, not sure how to get anything closer to his real life one.

 

Will upload this to the community creations once I get his moveset finished.

Any tips on how to improve are welcomed.

I downloaded the NJPW arena that someone is working on and a Shinsuke Nakamura CAW and felt like I needed to add some NJPW guys to my roster. Hopefully the move packs get released on PC soon because I think there are a few suitable for these guys like the 'Strong Style Knee' (Boma Ye) and 'Fireman's carry neckbreaker'.

 

I'm having a lot of trouble with the faces though, I set it to one of the default templates but morphing it doesn't really seem to change the appearance.

Yeah it's hard. Hit me up if you want a NJPW set-it's my thing. If you're the kinda guy to do it all yourself that's cool too. Gonna keep checking out what you've got as it's been pretty solid so far

Yeah that could work well actually. I've run out of download quota for a couple of hours so I started putting an Ishii CAW together. Let me know if you're interested in building a set for him.

Thanks dude. I'm doing Shibata as well for Defract on ps4 but there is lots of overlap in their matches which helps in sitting through tag matches

Oh cool, that might actually be helpful for me too if you don't mind sharing. I made a move set for Shibata but there might have been some key moves I missed, or even better spots to put them than I have them (like a signature move should be in the grapples performed more often, I'm still not sure the difference in executing a medium or strong grapple).

 

I'm pretty bad at slowly going through those move lists and having not played any of these games in around 8 years I'm not familiar with what're in them. Like I was looking for the inverted piledriver (like the one Owen Hart used to use) and couldn't find it, I used the Steiner suplex piledriver instead and later discovered that the Samoan driver is almost exactly what I was looking for.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the NJPW arena? I don't know/didn't know if it was possible to have different arena's.
