save failed in community creations.

so i copied everything over from the unlocked all save and now I can't download superstars.. save failed error comes up when trying to download. Verifying steam files though. Will I lose all of my mods that I have in the game?
is there another fix for this?

This should probably be moved outside of the modding forum.

 

It's likely that either you or whoever you got the save from tried to export their My Career CAW, which causes this bug. Or you are missing some files that belong to the save, like CAWs. Some have also been reporting issues if you took the save from some cracked versions and try to use it on the official one.

As far as I know, the only known way to fix it is delete the save and all it's files and create a new one (or use one that isn't bugged) and make sure that it replaces the one in the Steam Cloud as well. There may be other ways to fix it, but I haven't heard of any yet.

 

Verifying the Steam Cache will only verify and fix the game files, not the saves. And yes, if you do that, all your modded game files should be replaced by the originals.

I had the same problem. What worked for me was continuing to press A after each error message until it got to the end of the CAW list, then I was able to overwrite the missing CAWs from the unlock file. I had to do this every time until all the old CAWs were overwritten.
