Entrance Hex editing, possible wall?

I think I hit a wall on entrance theme editing. I've been following this method: http://forums.2k.com/showthread.php?1825386-Replacing-Entrance-Music

Everything was going fine I have have put in 7 themes without issue. Then all of a sudden on the 8th theme it imports into the game as blank. Meaning the theme I replaced did change, but it is just blank.

I have tried the following:

- Download different theme and start from scratch
- Hex the theme into a different slot
- Pick a completely different theme (different wrestler) and try again.
- Skip the current applicable offset and move to the next one.

All of the above still result in a blank song. Is there a possibility that, since this method increases files size, that there is a file size limit that is causing the issue? It should be noted that I have removed the appropriate plist file.

Anyone else experiencing a similar error/problem?

Found the culprit ...

"Step 5: In the Sound property editor, change the voice scroll thing to 6 (Optional)."

... stopped doing that and the themes came into the game fine again. My guess is the themes were plenty loud on their own and doing this optional step was causing them to peak too high so the game was muting them.

Thanks for sharing the trial and error of this. It will certainly help anyone else if we run into the same issues.

I found that themes import as "blank" is if there was a problem/corruption with either the original sound file or the converted .wem file (or there is human error with the hex editing and calculations).
