Same problems here. I can get the Seth Rollins Sheild pic replaced easy enough, but when I go to compress/inject, I get an error from X-Packer. Hopefully we can get an update soon.

I think it's something to do with the size. I'm gonna do a few tests ASAP and report back.

What error are you receiving when trying to compress and inject?

I need specific details, which pac file, which render, which option used to open the pac file, etc.

dont think so, as i made a render with the same settings and same size as the original, sent it to someone to test as i don't have xpacker 10 and he said it didnt work

Not sure how to post pics, but I've been able to replace Cena's image with Goldberg in the above link, but I haven't tested anyone else yet. I'll do more testing tonight. This is my first time doing any modding, and it still needs a little cleaning up.

how did you do this?

Yep, what he said. I used photoshop to remove the background then used TheBleedingRed21's tut to put it in game.

I've had no problem injecting into the original Cena file, but after editing it when I unpack Cena's file again it gives me a 0001.zlib and a 0001.zlib.uncompressed instead of the 0001.pac, not sure if that will help at all. I use compress and inject to inject the 0001.dds into the Cena file but just use inject to inject the Cena file into the ltag_typeb.pac file.

I tried to compress and inject into Cesaro, and got an error that says "Zlib file must be the same size as the original. Cannot compress the file enough".

Edit: I get the same error when trying to compress and inject a face into Cena's face from the "typed" folder.

I tried it with roman and it did not work can someone test it out ?

I have tried with Sheamus. It injects correctly but crashes on selection screen. Seems it only works for Cena.

I took a look at the files this morning. I had to write some additional code to handle the pac type. I was able to replace Shawn Micheals render with Brocks without any problems. The functionality will be released with the next version of X-Packer which is coming soon.

I don't know how to save dxt10 files though, going to leave that to you guys to experiment:

EDIT: Just tried added the text "tekken57" onto HBK's chest and saving with Visual Studio. Works fine in game:

Does this mean updated character renders?!!?! (Only with XPacker, I'd assume) but someone could upload the file with the edits right?

That's not what I'm meaning I guess. Anyone can make the file size the same.. It's hard to explain what I mean. I'll try it today and see if it works.

Ah Tekken, that's why mine ain't working. Been saving with photoshop. Visual studio has been my go to.

Now be aware, when the whole render is changed, I think the problem is still there but you can easily color, or write text.

Man when the update comes out Tekken can you explain how you did it correctly everytime I saved In visual studio it crashed at the select screen.btw is a update for the current xpacker we all have idk how updates work with it do send out the updated one to the ones who donated already for it?

It takes a long time to save the file in visual studio, took about 5 mins to save the file. With dds files, if you save it with the correct settings the filesize will always be the same irrespective of the content of the image.

The plugin for Photoshop does not support. Dxt10 files.

The update to x-packer will be emailed to everyone who donated towards x-packer 10.

Yeah visual studio takes forever to save even on smaller dds files.. Even at 512x512 they take around 2 minutes.

Actually, I remember why it did not work, even saving in VS, xpacker will not inject files when I open any pac containing directories. I get an error everytime on every file.

I am guessing this is the fix you will have in the update :D If so, I got a ton planned for my conversion mod!

can you tell me the correct settings for visual studio very new to visual studio wish Photoshop supported it i always just save as is in it for a render after i copy mine to the original one..

I do all my editing and copy and paste from photoshop into VS. I just use VS to open dx10 and saving.

As far as saving.. Just open dds you wanna edit, change whatever you want and click save. It'll automatically save in correct format
