Sunny Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 "Last 3 pages have been a really good read, I laughed a bit and with perfection. 7.8/10" - IGN That's IGN in a nutshell these days innit? With their new management team and all. Bullocks. That's debatable. This one looks Mongolian, but he could also live in the mountains so it could go either way. The URL said "Chinadailyshow" so I'd go with the latter. It could also be a bearded lady which can summon dragons so fufsikins can maybe relate a bit. No need for the Arabian distinction here. We'll categorize it "unisex". Can't fool me here Peter ya' yellow-bellied bastard. That's definitely one of Christopher Walken's countless disguises. Quote

Red Rooster Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 (edited) Okay so i have this 1TB Toshiba connect External hard drive. It was working fine till about 3 months ago i used it to transfer WWE2K14 and WWE13 to my pc to do some file dissecting. well, after i was done, i formatted the whole thing, thus deleting the 32 GB partition the 360 put on it. Now, it's acting slow as hell (it's a usb 3.0 drive) it's not recognized as usb 3.0 when plugged into said port, and when i put videos in there, they freeze up, i get all types of distortedness and i know the videos are good. they're mostly 90s tv shows and some of my WWE2K14 and WWE13 captures from last year.ย So, I'm at this point running CHKDSK and it shows the following ย ย now from that image it's saying i should have a total of 972 GB/1TB but in the This PC window and disk management it's only showing it as having a capacity of 932 GB. ย it also says about 40 GB's is taken up in 7 files, i am at a loss here. I've had hard drive problems before but they were pretty easy solutions to fix them. Maybe i'm overlooking something though i really don't think so.ย Monday i think i'll just RMA it back to toshiba. They've offered a 56$ coupon so i just wanna get it up and running again. ย Thanks for reading and hope someone can come up to a solution.ย Maybe As a computer technician you should know that a 1TB harddrive is 1,000,000,000,000 bytes which when converted to kb is not 1,000,000,000 because a kilobyte is 1,024 bytes not 1,000 bytes.ย ย When in Windows it shows the amount in GB which works out to 931.32GB even the most junior of computer technicians should know this, let alone someone with a degree in Computer Science. ย 1,000,000,000,000bytes =ย 976562500KB 1,000,000,000,000bytes =ย 953674.3MB 1,000,000,000,000bytes =ย 931.32GB Edited May 18, 2015 by Red Rooster Quote

Seems odd that Toshiba would replace something for not being broken lol Actually it was broken. There were bad sectors in the hard drive. It stopped being detected as a 3.0 USB drive and that was how I started losing data. And I don't remember ever saying that 1000 bytes was a tb I'm not stupid and yes I do have a cs degree. Graduated from university of Maryland if u must know and was at decry for 18 months. But besides that what's done is done but you guys are the ones that constantly keep replying to this thread when I repeatedly requested that it be closed. Quote

Made a 30 gb fat partition for the 360. That leaves 941 the last time I had it it was saying 931. But like I said whatever Quote
