Red Rooster Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Probably not possible, I made one for 2k14 that has 100 slots unlocked but once you go past 100 the game wouldnt load, Im assuming the same will be true for 2k15 on PC Hm. I guess we won't know until somebody tries. What do I need to do to try this? Just add more to the COS section or would it require adjusting indexes, lenghts, offsets, etc. somewhere? And if so, where? Ok I tried it and it works, 100 slots worked, 101 slots worked, Ill try to make one about 200 and if it works I'll upload it. 1 Quote

Thank you so much for looking into this, mate! I'm really looking forward to it. I just checked and with all the managers and locked characters we'd need one with at least 140 slots, so 200 would be nice as it would leave some breathing room for community additions if that becomes possible down the stretch. While I'll be happy with a file that already has enough slots to work with, I'm still curious on how exactly one adds slots to the file with a hex editor to further my understanding of the matter. Perhaps a tutorial section could be added to explain that if you find the time and motivation to do so or point me to a tutorial for 2k14 or 2k15 for consoles that explains it (the forum search on the site hasn't been working very well for me and googling for it didn't help me find a good tutorial so far)? I'd very much appreciate it. Edited May 17, 2015 by Cave Waverider Quote

Red Rooster Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Ok I made one with 184 slots for Wrestlers and it works, the process for injecting the file was exactly what Kim666 just described. The 0005 file I made myself with a hex editor well over a year ago and I cant remember what I did to make it. I know it has to be a certain size but thats about all I can remember, only 100 slots work on 360 version so I never looked into it any further so Im sorry I honestly cant remember the process for making it. Ive added it to the original post. 184 slots should be plenty and if its not Im sure we can figure out to add more if that problem arises. Quote
jess88jake Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 thanks red i think i got it saughted unfortuantly 0rton has so many attires now with different names lol also the sting mod is their away to get all the attires unlocked ? or is it you pick the one attire and stick with that? Quote

I had the file with 10 alternate attires for all characters in the game done, but it appears that any alternate attires past the first 100 slots don't appear to be recognized by the game, even when in the 192 slot file. I also noticed that for some reason, if I fill more than 100 slots with 10 unlocked attires, the game crashes when I quit it (oddly enough, the downloaded file as is without filling the slots past 100 doesn't crash the game). I'm not sure what I'll do with my planned universal file. Even without all the unplayable/non-wrestlers we'd need well more than 100 working slots for just the wrestlers and Divas of the game (including all DLC). I could start speculating who people are the least likely to mod alternate attires for and not include these wrestlers, but I don't know. Or don't use some of the duplicate wrestlers, but people are most likely to replace some of those for additions to the roster. Really disappointing. Edited May 17, 2015 by Cave Waverider Quote
TheBleedingRed21 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Mine does not crash like that but I have not tried any wrestler beyond 100 so that sucks.I would be fine with 100 as that would give me enough, I would never use near 100 wrestlers since I do not touch the current. Quote
wtferrell Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Is that 100 wrestlers or 100 attires? Or 100 wrestlers with x number of alternate attires? Quote
heelsquared Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 100 Wrestlers would be fine surely? Is there even 100 in the game haha Quote
Legend_killer79 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 100 Wrestlers would be fine surely? Is there even 100 in the game haha Yeah 100 would be more than enough I think. Quote
TheBleedingRed21 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Can anyone answer my Kevin Nash Attires say Triple H's Attire (then it lists all his attires) then says Chris Jericho 02 Attire Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) 100 Wrestlers would be fine surely? Is there even 100 in the game haha Yeah 100 would be more than enough I think. With DLC there will be 113 playable wrestlers (and around 41 more that are either playable as managers, appear in some game mode or are hidden that could in theory be modded to become fully playable in the future - I was planning to unlock 10 alternate attires for them all, alas it doesn't appear possible right now). However, I've decided that I'll release a beta version of the universal file for 100 wrestlers fairly soon so you guys can test it. It's pretty much done and I'm currently writing a readme file for it. Alas, I had to leave some wrestlers out (I tried to leave out those that don't change attires often or ever), but I'll add the 4 bytes for each wrestler in the readme so people can swap the ones out that didn't make the cut if need to be. I'm unhappy with this compromise myself, but it's better than not releasing it so people that can't get to terms with hex editing can still use it to enjoy all the wonderful mods that add alternate attires. I wonder in which file the 100 wrestlers with alternate attire limit is coded in. Perhaps we'll be able to increase it in the future if somebody finds out. Red Rooster Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Ok that makes sense, on 2k14 the game wont even load when you have more than 100. Ill change the file in the original post back to 100 max. 100 should be plenty. Quote
Red Rooster Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Rooster, I am confused. Nash attires now say Triple H attire, Christ Jericho attire, etc. What am I supposed to do again? This is with the new 184 slot. I assigned custom names to Nash's attires (see the original post) which replaced the text strings for the unlockables, thats what you are seeing. Just change the attire names to something else or follow my guide to give them custom names. Quote
TheBleedingRed21 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Makes sense rooster, Quick question on that, If I change Triple H's Attire Raw 02 for Nash, will it also change it for Triple H?Example: Triple H selected - RAW '02 would show NWO or something? Once this is answered, I know exactly what to do I have been editing every text in the game haha. Quote

jess88jake Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) Ok fellers serious question where can i find a list of wrestlers id's i no orton was A1 because of the orton thread. So does that mean batista is also A1 aswell because he doesn't have alternative attires already in game? So with WTF sting is he also a A1 ? But say if you were to creating alternative attires for triple h he is 66 because he has alternative attires in game already . What number would be del rio? And so on Edited May 17, 2015 by jess88jake Quote

Im fairly sure people will want to give attires unique names which will require them to edit the misc01_start themselves. Also they will end up with 10 attires for pac files that dont have 10 attires yet which will just cause confusion but ok...... 1 Quote
