Being a noob at this really sucks. But I'm determined to learn!

I've opened X-Packer. I grab my CH file (Dean Ambrose is the one I'm using), and I extract it, getting myself a file called "00036702". And now I'm stuck. X-Packer won't open this file with any of the options and I'm not sure what to do next. I keep getting an error when trying to open this file that says this:

Can't seem to catch a break with things not working for me lately, haha. But I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. WOuld be helpful if someone could tell me what it is if possible.

Is this a PC file? The PC functions arent finished yet so dont bother trying until the new version of Xpacker is released.

I was under the impression it still worked, we just couldn't inject the files into the game due to coding complications? I thought the functions still ultimately worked. I'm sure I've seen people talking about trying it out, whereas mine won't open the files.

Of course, I could be wrong. I'm just certain I've heard of people using but not implementing into the game.

Ok yeah I just tried opening a PC pach with Xpacker 9 and Xpacker 10 and both work, sorry I thought it wouldnt.

Are you trying to open it as a pach?

I've tried opening it with every option, but no results. What I've done is extracted the initial CH .pac, and then I cannot do anything with the file that is extracted from it. Really confused as to why.

What version of Xpacker are you using?

This is the procedure:

Open a ch.pac file with "Open Pac file"

Hit Extract to extract a pach file

Open the pach file with the "Open Pach file" option

All the files inside the pach are zlib compressed so you will have to use the Uncompress button to extract them

Xpacker does not work with the bigger pac files as yet. It wasn't designed for such large pac files that the PC version has.

Hang on for the update, it fixes the error you are experiencing. Coding as fast as I can, will be coming soon.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I'll just have to wait. I'm sure tekken will have things sorted soon.

I'm still having problems with X-Packer.

I'm trying to edit the minitrons now but like with the models, I extract the first file which gives me a second file, but the second file won't open with any of the X-Packer options. Is there something I'm missing? Some extra program I need?

For example, I extracted M010000 from the evtmov_ss_mini.pac but then what do I do with that file? It won't open again in X-Packer so I'm not sure where to go from there. I've seen people do it so it's not like it's a program error this time like it is with the models. I'm hoping someone can help me out because it's frustrating me that I haven't been able to get anything to work so far.

I don't really know anything about 2K15 on the PC, but on the Xbox 360 you just change the extension of the M... file from .pac to .bik - it will run in Radtools

I'm having the same problem with 2k15 PC version... I can extract the first pac file, but when you choose open PACH, it gives the Index error. I would love for someone to figure this out as i want to edit models and such

Yeah I noticed this while trying to edit the arena entrance .pac files. Not sure why this is.

Firstly are you guys using the latest version of X-Packer? If not, the older versions do not read the pac files correctly.

Secondly, try opening the pac file with another option under the pc menu, it could be a pac file with directories or a pac in epk8 format. Not all pac files are the same format as the wrestler pac files.

It's the .zlib.uncompressed files that I can't open. I get that far but then they won't open as texture archives for some reason like everything else.
