Any ideas how to gain access to the text files?

i am interested in translation and i read a lot of topics here but i only found threads about titantrons and character replacements. My question is: is there any chance to unpack the game localization files, edit them and repack it? I'm not sure if anybody looked after this in the console versions.

Actually, people have looked into the text files for the console versions. If you're looking to change the text for things like Superstars' names or attires, arenas, menu stuff, etc. then I believe what you're looking for is the string.pac.
