Elliot Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 At the moment, all I'm really looking to do is change some themes and titantrons to get the game up to date. I'm interested in the character modelling but that'll be once I've got my head around the tools, etc. I've been trying to follow the tutorial for audio modding, but each time it simply doesn't work. The first time did nothing, the theme I tried to replace still played in the game and the one I replaced it with was nowhere to be found. I just tried it again and I had clearly done something, but the theme I replaced was now silent. I'm not sure if this is the issue, but some of the translations to hex are coming out with 7 digits, which obviously don't fit. For example, when trying to add in the offset of 20A964E, I cant fit that at the end of the line as suggested in the tutorial. Why is this? Can some of the digits be removed? Am I using a dud converter? My last line on my file is 34248270, so this is what I converted. Can anyone shed any light on why it wouldn't be working? The tutorial isn't really explaining well what you actually have to do and could do with a bit of a refresh anyway for the newer modders. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. Quote
LordBarker Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I'd use Undertaker's tutorial for 2K14, same principle. I upped a Legends sound.pck on here where I replaced over 30 stars calls - it definitely works. You need to make sure you are putting the new audio data on the correct line - it has to end in 000 or 800 in the hex. Quote
Elliot Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 I'm using that tutorial but some of the later instructions are hard to understand. When looking for the "empty valid offset", is that just a line that ends in 00? Is it the last line of the file? I don't understand where to paste the hex code of the replacement. And also, I gave the example of 20A964E as my offset value, how would I fit this in? The tutorial only shows six digits but this is 7. How does that fit into the code? Do I just type it all in so it goes onto the next line or what? Quote
