Editing Menu Renders [Updated]

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I am going to help you guys edit the renders on 2K15 as they are a bit different this year.

You will find the Id you want listed three times. Uncompress each one and edit it along the lines of these:

Step 1. Open up your MenuHd2.pac by pressing Crtl + R in xpacker, but make sure its uncompressed first.

Step 2. Uncompress one of the renders that you need to edit, for example I am editing Rey Mysterio's, I know its his because it is basically the same as his .PacID.

Step 3. Rename the file .pac file to a .tga file and open it up in Photoshop. I got this

Step 4. Paint over the canvas with a black brush, like this

Step 5. Now add the desired render and add some effects to it how you'd like.

Step 6. Now you need to edit the alpha by clicking on the channels part near the layers and pressing alpha, paint over the alpha with black and go back to your layers and click crtl + A on your render layer and go back to the alpha and draw into the selection with white, now you should have something like this.

Step 7. Now you should have the render you like, now its time to save it as a dds, use these settings in Photoshop.

Step 8. This is the final step, go back to xpacker and open up your MenuHd2.pac again and find same area you uncompressed and compress and inject it back in and your done.

Remember to edit each of the Ids, to completely change all the renders.

If you have any questions, please post below :)

So does a render have to replace another? I remember when people were adding them to CAWs.

Don't CAWS have renders of their own?

Well I was sort of asking that, haha. When we make a CAW, do we simply do the above method on a file that is created in the directory for said CAW?

Amazing. Something else to take WWE2k15 to the next level.

Hey i have a problem.

I compressed and inject one time and it worked very well for the second time when i injected a render.

Do i have to complete all the SSFA,SSFB and SSFC for the same render ?

Solved:

For PS3,it should be saved as .tga file in paint.net after remiving compress(RPL) in the settings or in photoshop by simply pressing Save.

It stopped working after 2 renders.

Question: If I am using someone elses renders from their Menu.pac can I still inject them? I ask because when I extract them they are in zlib format. Can I compress/Inject that zlib into my Menu.pac?

If they're already compressed, press the uncompress button in xpacker and then compress it into yours! That should work. :)
