UnderTaker1784 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) WWE Plans Topless Mode In Next Version Of WWE2K16 Game (STAMFORD, CT) – World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has plans to include a topless wrestling mode in the next edition of its top-selling video game, WWE 2K16. “We plan to tastefully show off the bodies of our WWE divas, in digital form,” said company founder Vince McMahon in a press release. He continued, “We are currently doing nude scans of superstars like AJ Lee, The Bella Twins, Lana, Cameron, and others. The scanning sessions will also be featured on our reality program, Total Divas, when new episodes premiere in 2015.” Parents groups were troubled by the development. “For years, WWE has walked up to the line in its programming, but without going into crass sexual content like it used to,” said Greg Caplan of the Parents Television Council, “but with this video game, WWE is on track to return to the anti-family content that was a hallmark of the so-called ‘attitude era’ in the 1990s.” Observers of the video game industry say that while the WWE video game franchise may lose some sales because the game’s rating will change from “Teen” to “Mature” with the new content, the ensuing controversy could very well give the franchise new life and attract sales from consumers who would otherwise not buy a wrestling video game. The WWE game franchise from 2K Sports is currently on the WWE 2K15 edition and has frequently been among the gaming industry’s top selling titles.
