Replacing arenas...

I want to replace the 30 Years of WrestleMania arena w/ HotavioH's sick Monday Nitro arena mod, I just want to make sure I know the answer to a few questions before I apply the mods...

- 1.  When the instructions say to Manually Update the arc to 0097C0, how do I know which arenas are which?  I saw redrooster said in a topic that the arenas are @ the top of the arc data when you open in a  hex editor, I'd like to make sure I have a good understanding of this for future arena mods. (I eventually want to create my own ECW arenas for the community so I'm taking baby steps to make sure I understand everything ahead of time.)

- 2.  How should I open the Nameplate?  (evtmov2.pac) It doesn't say how to open it in the instructions...  Sorry if this was already posted.  I checked the forums & didn't find an answer...

1. Have a look in your arc in a hex editor, that would be a good start.

2. Open evtmov2.pac using "Open file containing directories" i think, either that or EPK8. its one of those.

Thanks for the quick response!  I opened the arc in a hex editor, I just need to know how to identify the arenas.  I'm using HxD hex editor.

On a side note, did anybody fix the Renders for the Community DLC wrestlers Bugsyboy made?  I made a couple & will probably redo the rest if nobody else has.

2. Should probably be EPK8 because tutorial says "Open The .PAC files as "New Format/Containig Directories", except for Nameplate (evtmov2.pac)"

Arenas are numbered 00 to 80, does that give you any clues?

Its "New Format/Containig Directories", I just tried it, like you couldve.

Theres no point in re-inventing the wheel, all of this has been discussed or explained before.

Why would he say to open them all except the nameplates that way?

"Open The .PAC files as "New Format/Containig Directories", except for Nameplate (evtmov2.pac)"

Is this the 30 Years of WrestleMania arena? Says it's background 56 in the BG & CH topic.

Evtmov2 can be opened like a normal pac or as "New Format/Containing Directories", it makes no difference. Just try things, thats how you learn, thats how we all learned.

And yes thats bg56

How do I know which values are the file size so I know what to change to ' 0097C0 '?  I did learn some stuff by trial & error but sometimes get lost...

In the arc after the file name the first 4 bytes are always the offset and the next 4 bytes are always the size

So I would be replacing '0074D3' w/ '0097C0' ?  Thanks for helping me get a better understanding of this.

Certain files only open correctly by using the right option, you can tell when you open them

Somebody imported the Backlash 2001 arena from WWE 2k16 (the one w/ the big blades hanging down) & I want to replace the in-game (for Wrestling Legends mod) Backlash arena with the newer one.  I know the arena having a ramp or no ramp has something to do with it being compatible, but as long as they are the same size, I could just swap them out, right??  I wouldn't mind changing the match screen & animation, too, but I'll take baby steps at first haha I haven't really switched out arenas enough to be confident enough to try without asking for advice first...
