Except instead of putting the content on the disc and printing a new cover with "Wrestlemania Edition" on it they just sell the old copies and give you a code. Here, not only are we still waiting for them to give us what we've already paid for but, on top of that, now they're offering it for free to people whose money they don't already have. It's some sleazy marketing at its finest and a really poor way to treat customers who you'd think they would want to retain for their next game. Quote

Honestly, if you just ordered it, you might as well cancel and re-order if you're able to take advantage of the promotion. I'm not saying it isn't a good deal (because it is, well, at least compared to the original price) just that it's a really shitty way for them to treat their loyalest batch of customers. 1 Quote

Thought you might've meant you ordered it online. If you got it in-store, then yeah, there's not much you can do there. So in this case i wont get the season pass for free? I imagine it will be global, even for the people who bought it on october, but havent bought the pass since now. I imagine that, because the error code when buying the season pass can happen because they're editing it to be free for everyone who didnt buy before. I mean I cant even buy it normally. At least now I know what to expect from them in the future. This Season Pass was heavily priced. I also like the PR reps in the "Comments" section on the site defending this as a marketing strategy. If we had all known 2K would make the Season Pass free beforehand, we all would have waited. Especially on a lackluster title like this with limited face morphing options? Definitely. There simply was no telling if this would be free down the road. We had known THQ's pattern of releasing their preorders for a $1.99 on the PSN/XBL stores three months after release. Not 2K. With it going $40 now, even on Gamestop, who are notorious for rip-offs, you certainly save $45, which means the only thing remaining to purchase would be the WCW Pack, Moves Pack, Sting, Hogan, and the NXT ARrival DLC which subtotals to $23, and the final total to be $63 + tax, which isn't half bad but defeats the purpose of a Season Pass in the first place. I was expecting all the DLC free, and not to have 5GB updates before I can download them. What the fuck. I opted not to buy the season pass due to the misleading wording on their site regarding what the season pass would include. When I enquired what the season pass would include, I got the following response from 2k support: I can't guarantee that the Season Pass will unlock all the future content since I'm unaware of what will be released, but I do know that it will unlock several showcases and new characters. You get the benefit of a discount when purchasing the Season Pass compared to buying the items individually. There are more details concerning the Season Pass here: Now they decide to give early adopters the shaft by giving away the dlc for free. This is the reason why I switched back to the 360 version. Look back at the early Smackdown! Games none were DLC everyone from the Roster was in the game... Why was paige not included? I wasnt gonna pay 19.99 for paige (as much as i would love to see my local girl in the game) everyone got ripped of who brought season pass... This aint gonna help for the next game as people will just wait for it to be free Quote
