High Flying Maniac Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) UPLOADED 07/02/2015 Tags: Jeff Hardy ZDCEnigma Old UPDATE 16/02/2015 For those who aren't aware, I made some changes to my Jeff. I've changed the hair, fixed the boots and I guess that's pretty much it. I've tried my best with the armbands, I know they may look off to some people but I personally don't have a problem with them. They look fine, imo, during a match so for the time being they'll stay the way they are. I may make an effort to fix them up down the road though. As you'll notice below, I also made different attires. If you like the attires I had before, don't worry, I'll make them again. As for future attires, I think I may start seeing what I can do with face paints so fingers crossed it works out. Codes. Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) Using a different hair or changing the hair color would have helped. I agree with Pete on the armbands. Edited February 10, 2015 by Codes. Quote
WolfgangJT Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) ..shoes are wrong too. His are only white at the top of the shoe, not the whole boot section minus the sole. The "moon boots" are usually a better choice for his. Edited February 10, 2015 by WolfgangJT Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Armbands look a tad shite. Tried my best working with the whole warping/fading issue but I thought they turned out alright. They may look a bit messed up but as I said, I thought they looked fine. And I tried creating the hand part of the armbands but couldn't get it to work in the game. I'll see what I can do about making them look better though. Using a different hair or changing the hair color would have helped. I agree with Pete on the armbands. Only chose that hair as it's the only hair where you can have 2 colors. I realize it doesn't look that accurate but there's not much to choose from. I'll mess around with the colors and the only other hairstyle that'd work for Jeff and see what I come up with. ..shoes are wrong too. His are only white at the top of the shoe, not the whole boot section minus the sole. The "moon boots" are usually a better choice for his. Yeah, I'm aware of that. Thought they were the best choice but I guess I just didn't go through all my options. Thanks for the feedback, hopefully it'll help me make a better Jeff. Quote
mrjordanreece87 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Try using two logos each arm. 3 is what i used stupid fading crap lol keep working on this you can make this better take everyones opinions my man Quote
Big Pete® Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) I mean width ways? so they dont overlap and blur... look at other peeps hardys, they've done it, maybe ask one of them to PM you how they did it. Edited February 11, 2015 by Big Pete® Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) I'm currently using 3 logos on each arm for the armbands. I tried splitting the armband logo into separate parts to avoid the overlap and blur issue but it didn't work out. I have no idea how others got it to work for them so I guess I'll message one of them to find out how they did it. Edited February 12, 2015 by High Flying Maniac Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Made a few changes and I think it's looking better. Changed the hair and I believe it looks better. Maybe not so much in CAW mode but it look good during a match. Still working on the armbands, I know they're still messed up in this pic but whatever. During a match, I think they look fine. Here's a look at the changes I made. As you can see, I also fixed the boots! I looked through all the boots and, unless I missed a pair, I believe Ziggler's is still the best choice. I applied logos so they'd look more accurate. However, during a match, I encountered a problem. Apparently part of the logos I placed on the boots also appear on the bottom as well. You don't see it that much so it may not be that big of a deal for some. Here's a picture. Do you guys think it's fine or should I try something else for the boots? Quote
WolfgangJT Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Logo appearing on the bottom is going to be due to you having the logo sitting too low. You can typically fix it by either working on the placement and sizing of the logo, or by just placing another logo if necessary on the boot bringing it over that area alone and coloring it black (though it's trial and error to get the placement sizing right on it as well so it doesn't mess up the rest of the boot).. Ollie™ Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 It looks good in my opinion. Maybe some tweaking like WolfgangJT and Pete said but overall I think it's great. Quote

That's what I figured. I was messing around with the placement of the logos for about 30 minutes before I realized what I had to do. You can only place logos so low on the front of boots, there's like an invisible barrier preventing you of placing logos any further down. Well I was bypassing that by increasing the length of the logo. But I guess that barrier was there for a reason as I tried not going an further down and it worked! Well, there's a very small and faint part of the logo still there but it's hardly noticeable so it's all good. Boots aren't as accurate but still look good imo. Here's what they now look like... It looks good in my opinion. Maybe some tweaking like WolfgangJT and Pete said but overall I think it's great. Looks great bro Thanks Didn't make any changes to the face but here's a closer look with the hair change. Didn't change the armbands yet either (planning on doing that later today) but here's a full body look. Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Updated Jeff has been uploaded to CC's for those curious. Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Haven't updated in a while but honestly don't feel like there's much interest in this. However, here is somewhat of an update on what to possibly expect. Haven't tried making face paints yet, keep putting off for some reason, but I am going to get around to it either this or next week. If I'm able to successfully add face paints to the CAW without any problems, I'll start making some face paints. Really wanted to make some attires with his spandex shirt but had no clue how to go about it. Using suits or shirts doesn't work well as, imo, they are too bulky. So I tried just applying logos to the skin and thought it worked pretty well. Took some pics so I can get everyone's opinion on it. Does it look okay or should I forget about trying to make his spandex shirt? Also, this is just a prototype so it's not as good as it would be if I decide to do this on my Jeff Hardy CAW. 1 Quote
BHANGRA MAN Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Go for it but dont think its lack of interest even everyones caws are getting less posts as interest for the game is waning Quote
WolfgangJT Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) If you do that, IMO, what you need to do is take your time on the texture, and add some "texture" to it so it looks less like painted on color and more like a "shiny spandex" texture like his was: example from my CAW last year: Edited March 20, 2015 by WolfgangJT Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Go for it but dont think its lack of interest even everyones caws are getting less posts as interest for the game is waning I suppose that's true. But it wasn't just on here as I've shown this CAW other places and haven't gotten much replies all around. But yeah, that's a good point. If you do that, IMO, what you need to do is take your time on the texture, and add some "texture" to it so it looks less like painted on color and more like a "shiny spandex" texture like his was Oh yeah definitely. Just wanted to get an idea of what it'd look like before I go through and make the logos for it. Though I'm not sure what I can do for the spandex shirts like the one below. And not even just the all black ones, some other ones he wore weren't shiny like the ones in your picture. Edited March 20, 2015 by High Flying Maniac Quote
WolfgangJT Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) ^Those, if you are doing them via textures, possibly just add some noise first, then add side-to-side motion blur (it'll take the noise specks and make then look more like slight trailing lines), like this a bit: then do a basic blur to smooth it a little (so the lines aren't as harshly defined), then add a fine grained noise to the texture. That way it gets the appearance like you see in that pic (look at the ab area). Edited March 20, 2015 by WolfgangJT Quote
High Flying Maniac Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Okay, I'll see what I can pull together. Thanks for the tips, appreciate it Quote
