Pale Gribble Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Hi guys I got a MAJOR problem and I'm wondering if anyone here can help me. I was using the save editor for 2k14. Originally my brother and I was using one of his USB 2.0 flash drive, the one that has a SanDisk micro chip that you insert into it. Now originally this flash drive was working just fine for weeks and was working the other day. Then I attempt to do some modding on it (my brother did some minor mods by changing several female wrestlers to males). Anyways I finished all my mods and wanted to replace the existing file but then it says I can't do it because the disk is write protected. I looked up a lot of things online. I tried to cmd route. That failed. I tried the storage device policies route. That failed. I tried to just reformat and that failed. I got no idea how this f***ing thing got turned on. I just know it's pissing me the hell off. Anyone encountered any similar problems in the past who can help? Quote

Pale Gribble Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Setup an FTP with your PC and Xbox so you can just transfer stuff without USB driveThanks for the suggestion. Does FTP stand for file transfer protocol? Want to make sure I'm researching the right thing. Also have you guys ever heard of any USB cable that we can plug in from our PC to console? My brother made some mention about Microsoft having something like this, but he might have been thinking of something else. Quote
Red Rooster Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Yes, File Transfer Protocol. I use FlashFXP, it works really well. I dont think such a usb cable exists, I could be wrong though. Quote
bugsyboy Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 FlashFXP is the best way to go , thanks to Rooster for hooking me up with that , its saving me a lot of time and its just making everything much more easy Quote

Pale Gribble Posted October 21, 2015 Author Posted October 21, 2015 Thanks so much for the help guys. I'll look further into all of this to make sure I'm doing it right.BTW does anyone know how long is the 2K14 online servers going to be on? Does WWE normally pull the plug immediately after the newest game after 2 years (so 2K16 in this case) goes on, or do they usually wait a few weeks or so. Want to try and get every custom I can find online before that goes bye bye. Also anyone else utterly surprise 2K16 is actually being released on the 360 and PS3? I thought 2K15 was going to be the last one, guess WWE needed the money plus it's nice to have a game that actually looks finished as a end song game for the 360 and PS3. Quote

There's one question I needing answering however. There aren't many videos in English about the content manager, and the ones I did found left out a rather important detail. What sort of equipment do I use to hook up my 360 to the computer? We're going to be using my brother's computer since the game consoles are in his room, but he's picky about installing new programs onto his computer and is asking if we need to do the the file transferring from computer to USB which is a good question.
