Developer Q&A From ProTorch yesterday

This proves 2k's incompetence

 

-Warrior Showcase will come out around WrestleMania. Not sure if they were supposed to say that, but it slipped out pretty early.

Q: Will there be any diva Showcases?
A: Not at this moment. (Seriously? Just say no.)

Q: Will the Bunny be playable?
A: Confirmed as a no, in between promo for all the cool characters you CAN play as.

Question about next-gen sacrifices is met with the same "new engine", "get our footing" answers we've been told for months. Not sure if anyone expected a different answer though.

Q: Is there going to be a patch for 360/PS3?
A: (after five seconds of total silence) "I believe so." So last-gen people...maybe something sometime for you guys!

Caller asks about imported face images showing up dark. A patch for PS4/Xbox One is mentioned as coming. No solid date.

Q: Any other characters besides Benoit that lead to banning?
A: They draw the line at things that might offend somebody.

Q: Why is Sid Justice a referee and not playable?
A: Production decision based on his context in the included Showcase.

Caller asks about the game priced at $60, the Pass at $25, and the multiple other DLC. Says it feels like a moneygrab and asks if they will go back to an all-encompassing pass or stay this route. The guys from 2K on the line answer from the angle evaluating the content being offered, ignoring taking future pricing into consideration, which really was the point of his question.

Questions about wanting the Lesnar/Angle rivalry and modeling Universe mode after NBA2K's Association mode are met with the "We're exploring all options" sort of answer every developer gives.

Caller asks about more male and female legends. This gets the "exploring all options" answer in combo with a reminder that we just had them in recent games. Didn't seem like a priority.

-Undertaker and Vince were not scanned. AJ was.

Q: Why isn't Zack Ryder in the game?
A: Usual (accurate) answer about roster being a joint decision between 2K and WWE.

Q: Will Adam Rose come out with the Rosebuds?
A: "Good question. ::chuckle:: Um, you'll have to wait and see." (...that's a no where I come from.)

 

Question about why stamina is the way it is, emailer feels the game is not fun on default settings. 2K answers that they are attempting to replicate the struggle between two wrestlers; going from chain wrestling to actual wrestling and reflecting their fatigue.

Q: Will missing match types be patched in on PS4 and Xbox One?
A: "Actually no; not at the moment." "We listen to the feedback of all the fans." "So we definitely take all the different feedback into account and we just prioritize based upon what we feel is most wanted by the fans."

Q: Why didn't the WCW pack contain a WCW arena?
A: "Just you know, resources. And you know - one of those things we couldn't get done in time."

Q: What was the cutoff this year for superstars to make it onto the roster?
A: (legitimate eight seconds of silence) "It depends on the year. There's never a set timeframe." Cites Sin Cara in WWE '12 as an example of someone added late in the cycle that they felt fans would take to.

Q: Did you consider DLC to update the game to storylines? Cites Shield attire changes.
A: Their hope is to have users take care of this aspect for them through Superstar Studio.

Q: Can updated entrance music be added to the game? For example, Seth Rollins.
A: "Yeah, not this year but it's always something we're looking at." Again say they look at the feedback and want to give the fans what they want. PWTorch host says he knows this isn't like South Park where they can whip up a new game in 10 days to correct everything (...what the hell is he talking about? It's an audio file.)

Q: What options are you considering to make career mode more fun in the future?
A: Can't say too much, listening to all feedback, make game feel more intelligent.

Q: Considering return of season mode?
A: Hmm....looking at all angles. (The tone of the 'hmm' is indicative of "no.")

Q: Why are there ladder matches in Universe mode, but not Exhibition?
A: Oversight on their part, do not have a good answer. PWTorch host gives them an out to say it could return in 2K16. 2K will not say that. Taken out for a reason, not to screw users.

Q: PC release?
A: (No comment) They get a lot of requests for it.

about the pricing for $60 should come with everything lol or sale the game normal for like $40 or do like EA Sports does with UFC give free updates every month with new fighters. for $60 should be able to get free updates every month rather its a new wrestler, new moves, improve some features etc etc.

Those patches didn't fix anything except the ring bell.  I'm still waiting on Randy Orton '04 to be Superstar Threads.

I would say yes mate, as they have the modeling software they can import SVR2011

lex luger and export it to 2k15..

 

soon as a iso xporter is made for nextgen we will confirm

Seeing a lot of bullshit in this honestly. DLC is planned months in advance and I don't think there's any valid reason as to why there couldn't have been a WCW arena in the WCW pack. I'm not too knowledgeable in the modding potential of current gen but I would assume that anyone with the proper tools and knowledge can successfully create a WCW arena on a computer in their basement in a few days. Their attempts to "replicate the struggle between two wrestlers" was also done poorly. The chain wrestling got old quickly and could have been done a lot better IMO. I don't understand why they do these Q&A sessions. Most of the questions are avoided.

 

I try to believe that 2K really does want to give us a great wrestling game, and that it's not just a half-assed recycled copy of it's predecessor, but they're making that really hard for me.

i really don't buy it just like i don't buy the whole, certain entrances not selectable.  Like Undertaker's.. basically i can't even make a long haired undertaker at all this year

yeah they should have atleast added a nitro arena. it just made no sense.. what's worse is they started making fun of the people that asked questions like the question about the DLC being a cash grab. so yeah i'll kindly hold off on getting any wwe games on day 1 till a substantial change has been noticed.  Right now it just seems that they don't care.

Mate they have had us over.. and its just getting worse.. 

their are members here who have put items back in to the xbox360 game me been a "old" part of it since svr then it all started up again with svr2010.. 

 

I think its Red who has imported the old nitro arena dlc in to this game.. 2k didnt make a new lex model thats the same model from svr11 so 2k are been lazy

I don't understand why you have to pay for the season pass and get one character and not only do we have to wait for the showcases but there is no confirmed date of release. They are very coy & misleading about the whole thing. #Moneygrabbing. Further to that i think the fact they cant include audio file has made it the worst game in quite some time.

2k is trash imo if you look at their official wwe2k15 forums they are flooded with spam.. If they can't keep their forums clean why the hell should i even trust them anymore? LOL
