Getting Fatall Crash on Scott Steiner Entrance

Recommended Posts

For some reason i'm getting fatal crash on Scott Steiner entrance. I haven't edited nothing on Steiner Model. If i turn the entrances off i don't get fatal crash. Any ideas of why is this hapenning?

Is it the entrance itself of Steiner during the entrance? Try assigning his entrance to someone else to see if that's the case. If it's Steiner himself, he has those glasses that only appear during his entrance, so it could be something with them. Not sure what exactly, but if his model's working just fine during matches, something's got to be up.

It crashes while loading.

I went to create an entrance and i assigned his entrance to AJ Lee and it worked fine. Then i went to create an entrance and i assigned Fandango entrance to Scott Steiner  but when the match was loading it crashed.

Maybe corrupted dlc, try with a fresh copy.

Tried it and it crashed again.

So, just to get things straight, the entrance itself is fine and his model loads perfectly fine during the entrance but crashes during the match. Have you done anything with him? It sounds like it could be a case of his PACH's file size being too large causing the game to crash. Entrances are able to handle a little more, so, if that's the case, that would be why it works there.

The game crashes while loading if i have the entrances on. Scott Steiner loads perfectly if i have the entrance set to off.

When i went to edit Scott Steiner entrance on create an entrance, everything loaded fine.

Ive had this before but I cant remember exactly how I fixed it, I think it is something to do with the moveset file for Steiner inside your save.

Try setting his moveset and entrance to somebody else then extract that moveset file from your save and inject into into Steiners slot in the save

When the game crashes, does the screen go black and only the crowd audio plays?

The problem isn't with the savedata. I used a fresh wwe 2k14 copy with my modded savedata and everything worked fine.

I have no idea if you still have a problem here, but it sounds to me like there's something wrong with the entrance model and the arc. You said the game won't load when you are using steiner and he's coming out to any entrance, not just his own? Did you install mods for your Steiner? Is it trying to read from a wrestler with Steiner's alternate attire that has a issue?

I haven't edited nothing on Steiner model. Its the original model. His entrance works on other wrestlers but it crashes on him.

Im guessing the problem is caused by 00038202 and 00038204 in your arc. Because Steiner is official DLC his first attire shouldnt be listed in the arc file because it is listed in the catalog_hd.arc in the dlc file.

Delete those entries from your arc and then open the pac file  that has your Steiner alt attires are in, make sure there is no 00038202 and 0038204 in there and "Add additional attires to arc"

Just one quick question. This is what i should delete?

Yeah, and then do "add additional attire data to arc" on ch288.pac

Should there even be an entrance attire entry for him? His original pac doesn't have one. The glasses are just in there with his standard PACH and work during the entrance--much like Rock's Rumble '99 attire in '13.

Yup. Just checked the original pac file I have of his, and it's only an 02 slot. Seeing as you said you didn't do anything to him, maybe that's the problem--it's trying to load something that doesn't exist.

Didn't worked. Crashed after the first loading.

Are you sure you dont have another pach of the same name ?

Make a copy of your arc , go in hex and do a search for his pach , delete the entry , close the hex editor and reopen the file you just edit and do another search.

I had a similar problem and fix it that way

I already verified that.

Does anyone have a arc file with the cdlc's and haven't added attires on scott steiner? Just to see how he's looking.
