Sunny Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) I think it's sad that the wwe chooses to ignore someone who was diagnosed with severe head/brain trauma and as an (admittedly not entirely conclusive) result met and caused a tragic end by simply banning Benoit textures, rather than addressing mental illness and issues caused in-ring. The entire way the Benoit issuehad been dealt with by the wwe is pretty fuckig appaling in reality. What are you talking about? Since the Benoit thing WWE has made strict drug and concussions polices (granted Punk's recent interview maybe debunk that but that might not be 100% true) which has saved a few lives (MVP being a example)Brother, that's the picture they portray for the public so it seems as if they got their shit together. Don't drink the kool-aid. The fact is, no one knows for sure what goes on over there until there is hearsay. There is major favoritism. Times have changed where everyone is protective of their jobs. With these major allegations, it's not the right time to be taking their side at all in the matter when their talent are the true victims. On topic, as for the Benoit situation, some novice fans and occasional get goers won't let this affect them. Sure, go ahead. All power to you. You're a strong independent black woman. All power to you. Go on get. I can't be like you. I hold grudges. I wish I were you. In fact, we all wish we were. As for the rest of us, we've been creating wrestlers for years. Some gone before their time. From the Pillmans to the Benoits to the Mike Awesomes, and the list goes on. If Dr. Vries, for example chooses to share his flawless rendition of Chris Benoit, it is not that he is endorsing a double homicide/suicide, it is for your enjoyment. The fact that you let it get that far should be blamed on you. He existed. It is the whole purpose for these games to live out possibilities and scenarios. We as a community know right from wrong and can separate a person from a wrestler. It is 2K's fault for bringing more attention to this than it has to be and forcing us to revisit a dark chapter in wrestling's past and reminding us of the skeletons in wrestling's closet. The wrestling industry is fucked. You name it. We have it. But, so does every other sport. We don't need to be reminded of it every step of the way. The media does a great job of displaying that every other week, especially their $2 "rajno ki rani" item girl Nancy Grace who can't separate an angle from reality. I can accept Benoit CAWS being banned from being shared. But, not before all the following get banned for being shared as well because they don't comply with either WWE's or 2K's code of conduct. And that's just a fraction.•Jimmy Snuka has allegedly murdered some broad he was sleeping with believed to be his ex-girlfriend. If we create him, do we endorse that? No. It's to live out his matches. •Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist. When we create him, do we think about that? No, of course not. •Disco Inferno was busted in an alleged gambling rink. Are we smuggling money in too? •Shawn Michaels is notorious for his narcotic drug use. So was almost all the Kliq and they pretty much called the shots. •God knows how many times we have heard New Jack tried to cut a fucker in the ring. •Abdullah the Butcher has allegedly given Hepatitis to wrestlers. •Missy Hyatt is an infamous harlot to people in the business and out of it as well. •Hulk Hogan was an avid drug user, has fucked his daughters' friends, practiced polygamy, shared his wife, among other things. •Paul Heyman has cheated wrestlers out of their money once ECW declared for bankruptcy and has since made that money back without paying the talent he owed money to a cent. •Kurt Angle is notorious for his issues with alcohol abuse and drunk tweeting. Just last August he was arrested for his fourth alcohol-related crime in the last six years. He also has a restraining order from ex-girlfriend Rhaka Khan and an arrest stemming to HGH. •"Stone Cold" Steve Austin allegedly attacked his wife Debra in domestic abuse incidents. (This should be highly enforced since WWE has taken a page out of NFL's book recently, being cute.) •Ultimate Warrior was a gigolo at one point. •Ric Flair tried to kill a guy in a road rage incident. •William Regal flashed a stewardess while inebriated. •The Public Enemy were infamous drug smugglers. •Big Show is known to snap in a fit of rage and has even exposed himself to a hotel worker. •Jerry Lawler was once accused of sodomizing an underage girl and still continues to make sexual deviant remarks at girls half his age in the ring. •You can order Buff Bagwell's sexual services at an undisclosed price online. •Chyna displayed full sex in hardcore pornography including anal scenes for the world to see in several of her movies movies. So has Jasmine St. Claire. •Candice Michelle and Tylene Buck have participated in softcore pornography. •Former WWE divas have posed in nude pictorial magazines. •Carlos Colon was a contributing factor in the murder of Bruiser Brody by the hands of Invader I. •Scott Hall murdered a dude at a bar and has raped a 56 year old woman. •Sin Cara (Luis Urive) and his posse had a gun at close range to Alberto Del Rio's face at one point. •Haku is misogynistic and bit a guy's nose off in a bar fight. •Ken Patera threw a boulder at innocent restaurant workers and was arrested when he assaulted first responders. •Being high on Phencyclidine, Juventud threatened to murder WCW executives and assaulted officers, all while being naked in public. •Sable accused Vince of sexual harassment. In fact, so did a Tanzaber employee on a Sunday during February 2006. He has also found himself indicted by the federal government on distribution charges for illegal steroids and drugs. He is also an avid steroid user. •Nicole Bass has gotten suicidal on several occasions and has bit several officers who tried resolving the issue. •Pat Patterson is accused of engaging in homosexual sodomy with wrestlers backstage. •Rosa Mendes has a sexual relationship while being committed in other relationships with a man twice her age to keep her job. •Nick Cage robbed a PNC Bank in Collingswood, New Jersey and his beloved fans were able to identify and alert him to the authorities. •Blackjack Mulligan was busted by the US Secret Service, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for counterfeiting. •La Tigresa had an underground chain rink in heroin smuggling. •Taz has molested an underage old girl at a tanning salon. She was 15. •Art Barr raped a ring rat which was 19. •"Handsome" Bill Armstrong raped a ten year old. •Black Ninja raped his underage stepdaughter. •"Dirty" Dick Slater was charged with attempted murder to his ex-girlfriend. •Kerry Von Erich killed himself rather than face ten years in prison for violating his probation for forging signatures for prescription and possession of cocaine. •Mike Von Erich killed himself after assaulting an emergency room physician and was charged with possession of a controlled substance soon thereafter. •Lex Luger was a contributing factor in the death of Miss Elizabeth and indirectly killed her. •Hardbody Harrison ran a sex slave operation and trafficked eight women all in his home with false promises. •Andre Hart has knowingly transmitted HIV to women he had sex with and wrestlers he bled with in the ring. •Johnny K-9 was the leader of a biker gang, trafficked cocaine, assaulted women, blew up a police station where a police officer was killed as a result of said incident, murdered Fred and Lynn Gilbank, and Johnathan Barber, and still roams free. •Douglas Whitton proceeded to kill Owen Reeves (a Christian man who took him in his home out of good faith) his wife, their nine year old son, and their roommate in a barbaric manner. We're all adults and the children who are conditioned by the contemporary society around them think like adults. The problem is all of these events are documented but are lightly enforced, whereas the media has pressurized the Benoit situation to be escalated to a grand scale similar to 9/11, with all due respect. Classic case here of, "You can bullshit the marks bubba. But, for God's sake. Don't bullshit the fuckin' family," especially since that fanbase funds your game.(Apologies for hurting your eyes Brotch. I know you're dyslexic. Your post is right under here baboo.) *kisses*For Brotch: Einige WWE Talente ungerecht behandelt. Edited December 6, 2014 by Sunny Quote
M42Productions Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand, I get that Benoit is a giant black eye for WWE (as he should be), and any steps they can take to shove him farther down the memory hole will only help their image. On the other hand, I think punishing people for recreating him in the game crosses the line. I would never create or use a Benoit CAW because I can't separate the wrestler from the man and his actions, but if someone else wants to make him, that should be his or her choice. Making someone's experience with the game less enjoyable for the sake of a licensee's PR doesn't sit well with me, but neither does making a CAW of someone who did what Benoit did. Quote

LordBarker Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) What are you talking about? Since the Benoit thing WWE has made strict drug and concussions polices (granted Punk's recent interview maybe debunk that but that might not be 100% true) which has saved a few lives (MVP being a example) Admittedly I wasn't aware they had made such radical changes (or not as the case may be) but regardless to simply out and out ban any likeness of him isn't a fantastic idea. I'm sure there may be issues of 'respect for the dead' etc. But the bottom line seems to be the WWE want to distance themselves from Benoit as much as possible. In doing this it seems to send the message that as long as they've 'sorted' the issues now, the past i.e. Benoit, was just a 'glitch' in the system, which is sadly not the case, he's part of a larger issue which the WWE seems to be choosing to ignore and has done for years. I think Sunny's point above is also pretty interesting regarding the myriad of other stars of wrestling and other sports that can still be made. The Benoit banning is a load of nonsense. We've been uploading Benoit related content to CC since it was brought into WWE games with SVR 2010, so the excuse we're getting regarding Benoit is a load of shit. If WWE actually gave a shit? They'd have banned that years ago. Quote
