Custom Story line and Universe mode

I was wondering if when you create a storyline, will it produce in your universe mode? I mean I see where it says play in the story mode section, but is that it? I also see where the dates are set in your story mode area on the calendar, but do you really know where you are as far as year when in your universe mode?  I would like to start playing with story mode to set up fueds, but not if it doesn't translate to universe.  My universe is getting pretty dull, because the game rivalries don't make sense and certainly don't flow.  Thank you

No it doesn't transfer over. You'd have to make your own story and play it or download someone elses
