~Tutorial~Replacing Selection Screen Thumbnails

Had a coupe of queries about this, so thought a very quick tut was in order.

 

Didn't have time to add pics, but will do soon hopefully.

 

1.)Ctrl + X - Open MenuHD

 

2.)Extract SSFD

 

3.)CTRL + 3 - Open SSFD.pach

 

4.) Uncompress 0000

 

5.) CTRL + 3 – open 000.uncompressed

 

6.) Here you will see all Superstar thumbs in .DDS. They are in Hex not decimal, so simply type in the characters decimal number in a conversion calculator and change to Hex to find the one(s) you want to replace.

 

7.) Make your own thumbnail - save as DXT5 at a size of 64x64 and inject into the required slot (Note that you need to make the face a few pixels wider than the selection render otherwise it looks too thin.)

 

8.) Open SSFD once more. Inject 0000.zlib.uncompressed back into SSFD (this makes the 000 into pach file, so in future extract don't uncompress)

 

9.) CTRL + R, open MenuHD

 

10.) Inject SSFD back into MenuHD

 

11.) Update arc Non Wrestler

First time I did it, everything works great. But I made a mistake with a image and I tried to fix, but nevermore it worked.

I made  a couple of errors but always worked again. At a guess I'd say it could be the arc? What mistake did you make?

Probably my error is with the arc. I see all the faces in the selection screen. But there aren´t the renders. Transparent. (ssfa, ssfb, ssfc) And the game crash.

I´ll do it from zero.
