jitz Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 So we've all laughed hysterically at Paul (Smacktalks) in the youtube vids, where his accent involves changing the pitch and tone of every word said. It's like the triathlon of speaking, it's amazing. I'm a simple Australian, we just get the words out as fast as possible. So anyways, I'm watching bad Saturday afternoon TV and this show called Sean's Kitchen comes on, or as i now know it, Paul's Kitchen. Turns out along with being overseer of this trash place, he's also a chef opening restaurants around the world. Maybe this is a foreigner thing, like how Asians all look the same to white people. You be the judge. Paul https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkskGaCJgCo Also Paul https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELKxmSOAJyI Quote
Codes. Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Similar not the same. Paul emphasizes more on certain sounds. Quote
jitz Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 Like how he says "community showcase" like he's Michael Buffer introducing it into a WCW World Heavyweight Championship fight. Quote
Spinebuster_94 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Paul sounds like every other north-eastener I know. He's not the only one with that accent. Quote
Bray Wyatt 97 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 He's definitely just an average Geordie. They all talk like idiots. YouTube: Geordie Shore. Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 LMAO! My voice changes all the time depending on what i'm doing, showcase videos sound different to news videos and news videos sound completely different to when i'm just talking. The main difference is I try to loose as much of my accent as possible for news videos, but live coms and talking to people it just reverts back to normal, my becomes me, etc. and I "talk like an idiot" Quote
jitz Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 I stopped watching after it became abundantly clear that the restaurant guy knew nothing about wrestling. I don't know why they got him in as a special guest. Quote
McLeod Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Sounds the same to me. Maybe it's just an Australian thing to think they sound exactly the same. Quote
