0PERRIER0 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I'm new with this whole photoshop thing but I feel like Im grasping it quickly. I have all the texture packs from the previous games and I've been experimenting with the faces. How have you guys been getting such good luck with the face textures? Are you splitting them into Left/Right or Top Bottom or are you just getting the perfect blend of CAW skin tone and the texture? I got a lot of plans for making guys this year just looking for some pointers to help make some high quality guys for xbox one. I appreciate any help along the way. Quote
ZOMROX Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Just make sure you're feathering the face textures. This will gradually blur the edges of the image so they blend nicely with the caw model and don't look like someone has just stuck a polaroid on their face. Basically this effect but you obviously want it around the edges of the face. There are hundreds of tutorial videos on YouTube and it's a very simple process if you've not done it before. It's just one of the things I'm seeing people either forget to do, or not know how to do, but it definitely helps with the face textures looking more natural. Edited November 30, 2014 by ZOMROX Quote
NickBreaker Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I've bee splitting hem in 2 sometimes. facial hair can be annoying so I have, in the past, cut that out and added it separately too. Then it's a case of adding a face paint with low trans and some flesh tones to fix any colour problems and even a facial hair with low trans and in flesh tone to help the process too. If you have the old game textures could you pass me the 2k15 Drew Mcintyre face for my sparkling advice? Quote

jcsix Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 what im having trouble with is i can have the image perfectly centered and lined up properly but for some reason the right side is always stretched and become blurry while the other side looks fine,Move the picture 3 pixels up and 1 to the left. Line it up in-game and move it 1 click right. Apply facial hair then delete and thats where it will be all time. Quote
Defract Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Hopefully I can cover this in a tutorial soon. If I split a texture I usually split it in 3. Left side of head. Right side of head. Face. This counteracts the blurry faded effect mrelectricity is talking about. Quote

But if they was in the position they would be if it was one texture, it blurred. Quote
