Problems with face textures

Just got the game today (along with a PS4 Destiny Bundle courtesy of Taco Bell,) and have run into a problem with face textures. I'm working in Paint Shop Pro X4 and have cut the images just as I would when modding in previous years' games, but I've noticed a grey/white glow or shadow around the faces when uploaded. I'm saving these as .png files, so there shouldn't be a problem. I've not noticed this happening to face textures made by others, what could be the issue?

don't know, only problem i have with them is the smearing
