Whats Your Personal Rating For The Game (X1/Ps4)

Since the new gen has been out now for a few days i was wondering how everybody rated it and why. Rate it 0-10, 0 being absolutely horrible, 5 being ok but disappointed, 10 best wrestling game.

 

 

I give it a 5, because simply the bad outweighs the good in my opinion and what i like to do on the game, because everybody plays the game for different reasons. Some like to spend most of the time CAW like myself, some play it mainly for career mode, or universe mode setting up their own universe etc etc. 

 

But really the only good thing the game has going for it is the graphics,career mode, and some of the new in ring game play as far the animation redone on the moves.

 

But the neg in my opinion is going back to game play i don't like how they grapple and strike its way worst than 2k14, like a lag u hit the strike or grapple button does it a sec or 2 later and sometimes dont' even do it all, like when a person gets up fully standing im steady hitting strike and my guy just sits there and the AI turns around hits or grapples me just a bunch of bs like that and them dragging them around the ring just about every time u do a grapple move which is very unrealistic. 

 

U can't change the match rules setting, which again really sucks they could've at least kept basic match rule settings like the old gen version, or what would've been better is if they left match rules for each type of match completely free to customize that would've made the game 10X funner.

 

CAW really sucks, they should've just kept it the way it was because all they had to do was add a new option in the CC, where u uploaded your logos. Because you can't make no were near as good of CAW as you can on 2k14 or even the old gen version of this game. The tat logos look good but other texture u may use doesn't, because if you stretch it to big or wide the edges will start to get real blurry looking. For ex: if u doing a logo on the arm u can't wrap it all the way around because no matter what theres gonna be a thick blurry line down the arm. Which doesn't do that on the old gen version or 2k14.  Not to mention the options are extremely limited as far as main features like hair,face hair,eyebrow,body & head accessories and stuff like that.Another horrible thing about CAW is the body morphing the way they have it set up u really can't do to much with them. But what is cool being able to choose many of the wrestlers clothing and some like Shields Tactical Vest looks really realistic. But thats really about the only good thing about it.

 

Music: They only have about 8-10 songs and only half of those are even descent lol, they should've atleast kept the wrestlers theme musics in there to listen to.

 

Live: The way they have it set up this year really sucks, only cool thing about it is the background match making but it sucks because it just sends u str8 to the match without being able to pick your wrestler. You have to be the same wrestler every time if you have your #1 guy a CAW, you have to go and change the #1 guy every time u wanna play with a different person before you even get offered to play a match.

Edit a Superstar

Game is harder 

Abilities and Skills make each superstar more unique and play differently

Graphics are amazing, someone walking by could mistake it at first glance for the real thing

Showcase mode features two awesome rivalries that most fans will remember 

the game is actually really fun 

game is fluid feels less choppy and canned 

 

CONS

Removed Older modes ( Story designer , CAF ) 

Removed Game Types 

Removed custom soundtracks

Removed old entrances 

Nerfed CAW Mode ( this is excepted with the first new gen game )

No winning singles animations for several big stars in the WWE ( Bo Dallas , Roman Reigns , Dean Ambrose , Seth Rollins etc) a bit nitpicky i know

 

with all of the hype from the trailers the gameplay and the graphics really holds up in my opinion 

What really brings this game down is its removal of modes, its obvious these features will be remade and added in later ( the features taken out were pretty old and in need of an update) its inevitable these features will be added back in a few games , WWE 2k15 was obviously rushed and 2k only really built the framework of a game that will be amazing a few years to come ... 

 

I'll Give it a 7.8 /10

i'm sorry but I can't give this game anything lower than an 8.  The game Is good.  Yeah modes and match types are missing and creation suite is limited but this is the sort of thing that happens when you're rebuilding a franchise from the ground up.  That's no one's fault except THQ. If they had addressed the issues instead of listening to everyone's request for about 50 million features every year then the state of the game would have been in better shape.  The Stamina really plays an integral part of the match pacing.  I had a 26 minute MITB Ladder Match on Universe.  Some of the old physics from SVR11 seem to be back (falling off the ladder out of the ring. it isn't a glitch it's happened several times and definitely is fluid) as well as the chair interactions that don't let the opponent get up 5 seconds after you put their head or leg in the chair.  You can actually interact like you could back in svr11.  After this game my expectations are higher for next year.  I went in low because every year since SVR11 I had overly high expectations and was let down quite a bit.  I love it though.  And to note... Running Leg Drop 4 is NOT the same leg drop from last year.

•   Reversal system broken
•   Roster compared to WWE 2K14
•  Pinning System is also fucked up
• No Match Creator in Exhibthion
• removal of Creation Modes like CAF and CAA
• Limited CAW slots
• Nothing original that makes this game stand out apart from the visual Graphics that's it
• No 8 Men in the ring , No Crowd area fighting was expecting it for the PS4 . - Don't bother saying wait till next year been fucking hearing that since WWE 12.
• Grappling system - should of left it like WWE 2K14 it was better organized less clutter 
• Crap DLC apart from the Path Of Warrior

 

Rating :My Rating 4.5 out of 10 waste of money £74.99 stick to WWE 2K14 on the 360 don't bother buying this for either 360 or the next gen .

I wish people would use the right terminology for things. Nothing was removed, it simply wasn't re-added to the new engine.

(Sorry for my writing in advance. Not at 100 %.)

I'm really loving it. The lack of some modes and creations does kind of suck, but the improvements in the important areas like gameplay, match flow, etc., more than make up for it. Considering how annoying it was when a match would go bad because of stupid mechanics or the multitude of oversights, ex: hitting a finisher and not being able to pin or interact, then losing when your opponent is able to stand up and hit theirs with no issue. Another example. 3 on 3 elimination tag match. Everything goes okay until you lose someone, then not only can you not use the third partner or even tag, you "magically" can't use any sigs or finishers. Considering this is the first WWE game that 2k is truly behind and also the first one for next gen, it went beyond my expectations.

Heck, look at JBI. New gen, had a lot of improvements over KYR, but was far from perfect. Fixed with SYM and far surpassed by HCTP. 2k does some things I don't agree with, but they are still much, much better than Totally Halfassed Quality.
