Community DLC 1 - Released

I have started working on community dlc 1. As with last year, I will only do the first community dlc then I will hand over to the Smacktalks community to produce further dlc.

 

This dlc will be exclusive to people who have X-Packer 10.

 

The roster is as follows:

1. Scott Hall

2. Scott Steiner

3. Road Dogg

4. Billy Gunn

5. Farooq

6. Bradshaw (having issues with his slot, may remove him from the dlc)

7. Shamrock

8. Sabu

9. Sandman

10. Kurt Angle

11. Goldberg

12. TNA Sting

 

My TNA Sting will also be exclusive to this dlc.

 

 

Thanks to the following members of the community for assisting with the creation of this dlc:

 

- Movesets (Zhigge)

- Trons (MdTornado)

- Names for the dlc wrestlers in the string file (IamCrazyPT)

I think that this year the modding community will be divided between 2K14 and 2K15. I take the decision to stay in 2K14 ths year.

Yeah Im sticking with 2k14 too but I wish you guys all the best for your CDLC project :)

Totally up to you guys :)

 

I prefer to keep my tools and mods up to date with the latest games. The danger with not doing that is that the tools become outdated very quickly and it takes a long time to program functionality if too much time elapses. There were already differences in the model and save formats this year.

 

I will hit you guys up if I need help with the dlc though :)

I would normally help you Tekken but im also staying in 14. Good to see you are leading the way once again. Nice roster choice by the way

Why is there an Ultimate Warrior render instead of Goldberg? Also, is it possible to add in entrances along with the guys without having to replace in-game entrances?

Because I hadn't added at the time the pic was taken. Yes I have added entrances from past games without replacing today but the game crashes as soon as the wrestler hits the ramp.

 

Spent the whole day trying to fix this but no luck.

 

As you guys can see this dlc is almost done except for the entrances. I don't have the time to manually inject the entrance motions from older games into the current entrance files. It takes a lot of trial and error to test which one's can be injected into.

 

If someone can assist in this regard, it will be greatly appreciated as this is the only thing holding the dlc back.

 

I have my hands full with work and coding X-Packer at the moment.

Since no one vounteered to help with the entrances, I had to stay up most of last night and Monday night getting the entrances to work. I have successfully added entrances to the game without replacing the existing entrances. Most of the entrances are working, I just didn't have the time to do Road Dogg and Bradshaw, so I assigned them Billy Gunn's and Bradshaw's entrance.

 

There were a few glitches on some of the other entrances as the entrance templates which I used had additional objects i.e Wyatts chair and lantern. Anways I can live with these as I don't have more time to invest in fixing this.

 

Here's the list of entrances as they stand:

 

1. Scott Hall - working

2. Scott Steiner - working

3. Road Dogg - assigned him Billy Gunn's entrance

4. Billy Gunn - working

5. Farooq - working

6. Bradshaw - assigned him Farooq's entrance

7. Shamrock - working

8. Sabu - working

9. Sandman - working

10. Kurt Angle - working

11. Goldberg - working except for backstage objects. I fixed this by displaying the tron until he appears on the stage. It looks good, as the pyro's are working as well. There are glitches with the Wyatt objects in the ring.

 

12. nWo Trio entrance - working. There are glitches with the Wyatt objects in the ring. I didn't inject the outsiders entrance and assigned the nWo trio to Nash and Hall, it's not accurate but it's ok for me.

 

With regards to the strings, I had to reassign the strings to the online string values as the string file supplied to me didnt work. It works fine on the selection screen but the names do not appear on the name plate or in create a moveset. Don't have the time to fix this but it's a small glitch which doesn't bug me.

 

This dlc is now complete and will be released with X-Packer 10 soon.

Awesome Tekken.

I will be upgrading my laptop on December and since my Xpacker 9 and Xrey are non-transferable, do you offer maybe a discounted Xrey and Xpacker 10 bundle? Because I will probably need to buy again Xrey for my new laptop.

 I understand where you are coming from with regards to donating towards another licence for X-Packer and X-Rey. I know that the modding community is small, this is the reason why I opted not to charge for the additional 2k15 functionality in X-Rey.

 

I had to increase the minimum donation for X-Packer as I am barely making anything  on both applications.

To illustrate, this is the fees and taxes that I pay on each donation towards X-Rey:

$13.00 X-Rey Min Donation
$0.30 PayPal Fees
$0.51 PayPal Fees
$0.20 Bank Fees
$0.20 Currency Conversion Fees
$5.20 Local Tax (PAYE)

$6.40 Total Fees

$6.60 Net Received (roughly the price of two cans of coke here).

Tekken, how many community dlc slots this year? Is it 32 or greater than 32?

32 as usual. However if you use the preorder method of adding dlc, you can add a few more. This method is very buggy though so I stick the old way.

Thanks for your hard work, it's impressive Tekken. I´ll be glad to pay for this awesome tool. It´s sad to see so many taxes on donations. :(

Tekken said that he added the entrances without replacing. So the answer maybe yes.

Yes the showcase packs should have a catalog file which can be added to.  If they have arena's in the showcase packs, I can take a look at how it works. At the moment, I have no examples of how arena's are added as dlc.

So we can add the tag entrances (entrance07.pac) from 2K15 to 2K14 with this method.

The way must be:

Adding the info to the def. Adding the info at the end of the arc. And select the entrance using X-Packer.
