95% of the replay value in the game is in creation modes for most of us. Without them it gets boring very fast. Same old shit different year.

So, you must be an avid Photoshop for it pretty much because they're giving you no choice but to slap textures on default faces and take it from there. No in game morphing to depend on to get an authentic likeness. You must fully depend on the design of your texture. It's bittersweet. The loading, I guess we can give them the benefit of the doubt to. Those files are pretty damn large.

Most People like playing through wrestling games with custom content. Hell the whole point of my career mode is that you use a created superstar.

it doesn't matter, apparently, because people can't seem to see past the beautiful graphics. I can see the CAWing community jumping back and too between this and last gen.

I agree cold heartedly with you, caw mode is fucked up, the loading times are unbareable, and when applying face textures, if you change anything on the face, the texture actually changes colors.. I tried changing the color of the hair to dark brown hair while trying to make Evan Bourne, and his face texture turned dark brown.. The logos don't strech a lot at all when it comes to the width, you have to use (lets say a straight line) 3 maybe 4 times to get it to go fully around a leg. You can't do shit with the morphing. Options are small or big and you move left or right to determine the size of something. There is no way you can make anyone look like who they are suppose to be, and textures won't help... I did not buy this game for the graphics, I did not buy it for career mode, I bought this game because I thought we could make some awesome caws this year, I mean isn't that why we're all on this website? For the creativiety, gosh I feel bad for Smacktalks, all he's gonna be able to showcase on next gen is editing a superstar.. That actually works pretty well.. And yes you can only have one attire per caw.. I guess 2K did what was best for business and we all fell for it. Wasted almost $200 buying last and next gen copied, who do I talk to about getting my money back?!?!? Edited November 18, 2014 by Shawn Sabin

Look all this complaining is ridiculous. First off wasnt it you of all people that said you were tired of the same old caw mode? So they stripped it. Big deal. That just means you'll have a better mode next year since they don't have to implement anymore groundbreaking features. Unless you start asking for 50 million create modes again. It is what it is. You wanted the crotch blur gone edit a superstar and logo import so badly and you were warned about what would happen if limits were pushed too far. That things would have to be limited while rebuilding the game. Cory Ledesma of all people said this in various q&a's as well as interviews. But you thought he was a lying deuche bag. This is the reason why I abandoned making caws a long time ago. The mode just keeps getting worse and worse each year.

 

The load times on ps4 and xbox one is surprising though, given the extra horsepower both consoles have.

This is why I don't regret sticking with 2K14.  Sure, the eye candy's not as nice and the match pace may be on the fast side, but CAW mode is a lot more flexible (even with the crotch blur), no Creation tools have been stripped out, we have save editors--which means we can import custom logos without having to use CC--and there are still plenty of match types to work with.  Besides, between the new console, the game, and the Season Pass, I saved myself almost $500 by staying with last year's game.  (OK, less than that because I bought the Season Pass for the 360 before word got out that Story Designer was gone, but it still could've been worse.)

 

I wasn't expecting a home run with 2K's first game on the new consoles--this is basically a rebuilding year for the series--but when the overall functionality is this stripped down compared to last year, it's just not worth my time and money to upgrade.  Maybe they'll work some features back in next year, maybe they won't.  Until they do, I'm perfectly content to wait it out.

That's the irony in all this. Before, we had CAWS to fall back on because gameplay was limited. This year, it's the opposite.
