BAD NEWS... MATCH TYPES REMOVED

I already accepted that they are gone, got all of the rage out of my system.  Now im ready to just enjoy the game for what it is.

That's what I thought about these missing match options. That you might be able to unlock them through My Career Mode. But, I just reckon that was the herb talkin'. Why would they do that?

For Brotch:

The theory of matches being unlocked is false assurance.

It actually kind of makes sense when you think about it. 2K actually makes you play through the game to unlock certain things, like how a normal game would be. Games don't usually have everything ready to play right off the bat, you've got to unlock it first. Whether this is the case and that no one bothered to check is beyond me, but it would sound pretty reasonable.

 

 

It's possible but I doubt it, mainly because i believe 2k would have mentioned that by now, especially with all the bad publicity they're getting right now.  They are even getting bad reviews because of it....

It's a possibility but it's unlikely. I doubt we'll be getting a pop-up that says "Congratulations! You've unlocked triple threat ladder matches!" after an objective in My Career Mode. At this point, it's asking for too much.

This is what our pal Jared had to say on the situation (evidently trying to tip-toe it).

"So, I'm trying to find out what happened with a lot of those missing match types and features like No DQ. We still haven't received official word, but I'll make sure to report back when I do.

I think part of the transition to next-gen was this kind of rebuilding experience, especially when you have a change in creative directors. You want to be able to lay a solid foundation in order to build upon some of the great things to come in the future. The omission of certain modes are frustrating (and often a bit puzzling) but it's important to advance things like gameplay and to create a robust MyCareer mode and then bring those things back into the fold later.

With that being said, the game looks phenomenal, plays phenomenally and might possibly be the most immersive title in the history of the WWE games brand. I'm looking forward to what you guys think.

Unfortunately so, maybe they'll add it in a patch, probably not

That is a lot but how often do we see that in WWE programming. I wouldn't be surprised if WWE decided to omit those, not 2K. I'm surprised blood is still there too.

Just a theory, but in the dlc christian showcase, in extreme rules arena (which is confirmed) christian had a ladder match against del rio.

And in the henry showcase, the usos take part on it, and im sure it's for the handicap match he had with them.

Same for the mark henry's vs big show chairs match tlc 2011 and triple thret steel cage of rr 2012.

 

Could the matches probably be unlocked trough paying for DLC??

I asked the same question, but someone said that its only for the showcase mode like the 3 stage of hell match

Anyway, we have more quality and less quantity. Expect the matches remaining to be almost perfect. So can you at least have more than 4 ladders, tables, or any weapon in the ring? Has that limit be increased so we can make MITB with a bigger amount og ladders?

Also would you mind checking how many tables or ladders (or weapons) can we have at the same time. In xbox 360 it was 4 limit, maybe in current gen it's increased.
