BAD NEWS... MATCH TYPES REMOVED

I understand the frustration, I really do. But the match types that have been supposedly removed are rarely seen in WWE programming. We've had two inferno matches in the past ten years. We've had but a handful of I quit matches. When is the last time we saw a tornado tag? I can't honestly even remember one relevant enough. As far as all of the other things "removed" or not added, we have to understand the jump to next Gen. They're still in the feeling out process, considering 2k14 was finished by the time 2k came into the equation. The only thing that truly irritates me is only one attire per CAW spot, which if we believe reports, it's because of Sony and Microsoft save limitations. So I'm content with what we have in return for promise in the future.

I'd take a butchered Creation Suite over no Creation Suite any day, which makes me sad that I have to sacrifice my 5 original Diva CAWs for MyCareer, graphics, and gameplay.

Personally, I would've rather them not have spent all of their time focusing on that MyCareer shit (that more than likely won't even be back next year) at the expense of all of the game's replayability.

The concept of creating "your own unique wrestler" and taking him to a WrestleMania is so played out. The last time I genuinely enjoyed that was back in SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role and that was for a few laughs. I don't know why they were inputting modes from their NBA franchise to our wrasslin' game. Sure, it might be well and dandy on their title, but it won't transition to ours 'cause it's been tried and tried again. I'd rather not have MyCareer if it meant having our match types back. As a matter of fact, I'd be content if they got rid of Showcase Mode and MyCareer altogether. Just give us a jacked up CAW mode and a WWE 2K14 like roster. That's the popular opinion. A campaign mode is not a necessity in these type of games because it has no replay value and takes up unneeded space. I think this should be their main focus. Sure, they can add a gimmick for their yearly titles like how 'Showcase Mode' is this year, but keep it to a minimum. I'm glad they've structured a foundation, but it's time CAW mode take the main focus in the coming years.

Get rid of MyCareer and Showcase Modes and work on getting our match types and revamp CAW Mode on a large scale.

I'm just curious as on one hand I kind of wish they had taken it out completely...sure we would have completely gone off our tits, but it would have given them more time to release a 'complete' creation suite a year from now and blown our minds.

On the other hand I'm glad we at least get a glimpse of some of what is possible on this platform i.e logo import, better caw base models...etc.

 

At the moment I'm still pretty excited for this game but strangely moreso to actually play it than create...haven't been able to say that since the N64 days.

If you can treat the creation suite as a demo and accept it's 2K's first real crack at a wwe title, not to mention new platform(s) then you might just be able to enjoy it and be a little excited for the future.

If not then the only other option is to stick with last gen for another year, the same shit we've been complaining about for years...better the devil you know or accept change takes time?

 

Giving them criticism and feedback is good and will hopefully help with regards to direction going forward (time will tell), but with everything taken into account so far as this year goes, try and keep a little perspective.

While the lack of really stand out CAWS from promotions like PWG and NJPW bums me out, atleast allowing drastic changes to in game guys will let me do some fun stuff. 

 

The fact that we can take almost any in game guy and give them a total overhaul means we can really rewrite how some of these guys play out if you want to!

Just taking Cena and giving him actual wrestling gear without sacrificing quality (unlike super star heads) is cool to me. 

You can reply with something long if you'd like, but I've chosen to enjoy the game, and I'm actually looking forward to all the additions rather then fixing on the stuff that's missing.

that alone can make a drastic change, especially if you pair it with a moveset that matches. 

I'll admit you shouldn't have to use your imagination that much to enjoy the game, but I'm glad I can make changes that allow me to use my imagination that much.

I dont have any hate toward Jeff at all , im just tired of him defending 2k like he own the franchise.

We are all in the same boat and we all should want more out of this company.
