Next/Current Gen

Would like to know everyone's status on this.  Are you getting it?  For what system?

 

My stance on it has changed over the past week.  Even though i have both a ps4 and a xbox1, I was more excited to get the 360 version because of the modding and freedom. I was gonna wait and maybe even skip next/current gen this year. Even though the graphics ive seen were great i wasn't really blown away for the simple fact that i let 2k fool me last year with all the "mind-blowing" graphics of Nba 2k14.  I basically brought the next gen system solely for that game and was highly disappointed by all the removed features/bugs the game had.  This year's Nba2k15 is a much improved game, pretty much is what 2k14 was supposed to be.  I figured wwe 2k15 would have those same disappointments since this was a transition year.  I kept trying to tell people on the forums that were overly excited to expect some drawbacks.  And finally today the reality finally hit alot of them.  

 

But honestly while many are pissed, canceling their pre-orders, I'm actually looking forward to it more than before.  Once i learned EAS (edit a superstar) was official I was finally sold. Although I still love the 360 version, im really looking forward to a slightly new experience.  

 Being able to keep superstars current is the main reason I got a Jtag years ago.  The drawbacks (no custom music, not being able to update trons, 25 slots, etc) is definitely something that will bother the hell outta me but I think I can manage.  Now i'm sure im gonna get it 12am monday (waiting for some live streams b4 i order), just not sure which system yet.  

 

So what about you all?  Whats your stance?

I got the 360 version & I find universe better in that than any other previous version so I love it. I cant wait for Career mode so I will be sure to pick up a copy for the Xbox One.

 

 

Good to hear someone say Xbox1.  All I've seen so far is everyone saying ps4 and to be honest I really want to sell my ps4 and keep my Xbox1.  I KNOW everything talks shit about Xbox1 but honestly I dont notice much difference in graphics/performance and I love being able to watch TV while playing the game 

 

The only reason I was thinking of getting it for Ps4 is because I was nervous that everyone else and all the good CAWS/EAS'S would be on ps4.

Glad to see some of the modding community joining next gen.  Feels weird to know that I can give out my gamertag again.  Still feel like Im gonna get banned when I think about getting online, haha.

Holding out just a tiny bit longer based on my own PC speculation (that an un-official announcement of a release date for the PC is because Sony and Microsoft want to make good sales on the console versions because they know the PC will do better, so a deal was probably devised - this is based on my industry knowledge). If it flops, it'll most likely be me dropping WWF No Mercy modding and switching to the PS4, I've only ever been comfortable with the PS controller heh.

 

I'd probably choose PC over the consoles based on the possibilities of modding but the lack of info or concrete release date is what's pushing me towards console.  Your theory may be correct though.

I'm going ps4 for 2k15 because of the ability to play games with friends that I/they don't have them selves I find that really awesome. I haven't had a PlayStation since SvR 2009. I should of went with XBOX 1 being I have my gold membership till February plus another 3 month card lol.

I'm still undeceive on what console to get, parts of me want to get WWE2K15 on PS4/Xbox One, but other parts of me want to wait to see which of both consoles get modded first. Although I have a hunch that the Xbox consoles have a more dedicated modding community than the Sony consoles.
