NickBreaker Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 wait, so you can't add your own music either? I think CAA will still be in. It's still a fairly new feature. Quote

fufu ÷ Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 That feature is cool but i aint worth shit now that they took out custom music. Who want a perfect Bret Hart caw with Cena's music anyway. If i wasnt a modder i would be ripping out my hair right now. Just don't give him any music then. Easy. Quote

Jules145 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) funny how peoples attitudes change, just because of the shiny new graphics. 2k15 on last gen had a ton of shit removed, everybody starts crying and making angry threads. now we're faced with the possibility of having just a CAW mode and 25 CAW slots. nobody gives a shit, because everybody is memorised by Graphics. the Superstar Studio is an amazing feature, and is probably the only reason i'll get this game. but the fact that things have been removed from the franchise on both generations is not necessarily a good thing. people who say features over graphics are liars. I've said before that I'd rather have lower-res wrestlers I can (more or less) customize any way I want to and make my own stories with than mind-meltingly detailed wrestlers and fewer creation options. If I were a kid, it'd be like choosing between a super-detailed Darth Vader statue and a smaller, less-flashy-looking Vader that was fully poseable. If 2K ever gets around to putting features back into the game, then--maybe--I'll consider jumping back in, assuming they don't try to rip people off like they did with last-gen's 2K15. I doubt that they are going to rip people off for next gen. Considering the gameplay looks fantastic, the game modes are going to be great, the graphics look so real, and the creations so far we know are great. Don't get me wrong, Story Designer and CAF was cool features but no one rarely used them. Only the ones who liked making stories used Story Designer and there weren't a lot fans of that mode. CAF would have looked fake as hell. Either way, the moves put together in CAF didn't look good at all. But hey, we don't even know if they did take it out in next gen. If they are trying to make this game feel real, then I would rather have 25 excellent CAWS than 100 low quality CAWS. Edited November 5, 2014 by Jules145 Quote

ninickers Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Seems the philosophy behind this game is that of a house that has had several renovations and additions added to it but was faulty at the foundation. They are bringing it back to major foundational repairs and giving us a more basic floor plan which they will then add their improvements later. I want this game to impress me at its core. I can wait a year for improvements if I'm having fun playing it. Quote

I'm sure that's why alot of these moves/features have been removed. 2k doesn't like it when they get so much negative feedback about a bunch if glitches. I'm sure the modes will return n than worked too hard to get these modes in Quote

You must never played a wwe game prior to svr07 I must never played? My first WWF game was Super Wrestlemania for the SNES. I've been playing a while Doesn't mean I want to get stuff from the most recent game taken out. I'm not some drone that needs to buy every game with a WWE logo on it. The reduction in game features does not appeal to me. Therefore, I will spend my money elsewhere. Not too sure why that's so hard to understand. Edited November 7, 2014 by darkoffspring Quote

So what you're saying is your rather have a buggy game? Cause that's definitely what would have happened. You have every right to demand the features you love but at the same token the only people you can get mad at are thq not 2k. Thq were greedy and refused to contribute financial resources for most of these features to be fixed. People have complained about issues with custom themes (playing during matches, too loud, silent after editing to universe menus) custom finishers (spammed online, 1 counts, freezing) and story designer (freezes default superstar glitch, no crowd sounds) for years so just my inference of all this, I assume these modes will return if not for 2k16 definitely for 17. Yes it sucks these things were removed. Ask anyone I probably had more rosters than anyone on these forums (12 accounts! With 100 caws each) i used designer for show intros promos and static run ins, I used finisher when I didn't like the way something looked, and of course I used custom tracks for caws. So yeah I'm upset but I also know and acknowledged a long time ago that this was gonna be a transitional year, laying the ground work for the new gen consoles, changing the gameplay elements, updating visuals etc. it sucks but you have to start over when a new publisher/developer takes control. Trust me it will get better with time. Quote
darkoffspring Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) You're overestimating my anger here. On the one hand, I feel that caw limitations are probably arbitrary. Think about PC games with custom content. It's only ever usually limited by the hard drive. That means that either the limit is imposed artificially or the coding on this or previous iterations of this series was so atrocious that more than 25 caws will crash the game or something. (Wouldn't shock me in the slightest) Whatever the case may be... I'm not mad... I'm past the point in my life where I get annoyed at wrestling games. I'm just not gonna get the game. Not plunking down 60 bucks for a game that doesn't have the features you want is a completely normal decision. When things get better, as you say, I'll get that game. Till then, I'm satisfied with my 100 created guys in 2k14. EDIT: That said, if the next gen version releases for the PC as they're saying it might, all bets are off... Modding Ahoy! digita1hound Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 If anyone can remember way back when the first ps2 smackdown came out they would know it was pretty limited. The 2nd was HCTP which added a lot of personality to the game. My point is buy it don't buy it. Honestly it doesn't matter...I feel like a lot of you guys are not going to be happy in the way the game plays this year. I hope they keep designing it like a Sim instead of that arcade crap that never felt like a wrestling match at any point. Players will be forced to play it, gain real skills instead of reading the animation. I know some of you are upset that some mode are gone but realize you are not the majority and it was a waste of memory. Quote

Perhaps it was a waste of memory to you, but I for one used most of the modes in the game. Don't presume to speak for me and decide what is or isn't a waste of memory. We'll see what the 'majority' thinks when the game is reviewed and when sales come in. Clearly, the "majority" wasn't too impressed with the 360 and PS3 versions that have already come out. From the videos, it doesn't seem gameplay has changed THAT much, either. Edited November 11, 2014 by darkoffspring Quote
FKNMSRA Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I'd imagine CAA to be gone due to the resized arenas. I highly doubt they'd fix all of those presets to make them all "life-like". Quote

Its confirmed to be gone alongside create a diva, create a championship, create a finisher and story designer, but the article said that they plan to add new features for the creation suite in future interations so that means we can slownly expect some features to return each year and hopefully improved as much as created and edited superstars.
