the King Lives Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 I've said it already on many forums, but this just cements my decision to wait until next-gen. I don't even have a console yet either. yeah but take this review as a grain of salt.. yeah it's the same (exactly) as 2k14 minus the removed modes but IGN made the rating that low because they're still mad at 2k for making them look bad with IGN Last lol Quote
Hitman97 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Are the pre set moves still in 2k15 or are they gone along with the entrances? Quote

Ben 2K17 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think this review is extremely harsh! WWE2K14 was one of the worst wwe games i have ever played. Here are my reasons - the game was riddled with glitches superstar heads to be glitched, for example a few guys like Cesaro and Kane had a body morph glitch that caused their traps to be extremely small and the neck to be really long. - CAA was also glitched due to the logos being tiny and such - Commentary was fucked up. In an ordinary match coles voice would change to jr's and they would always talk about someone that wasnt in the match like BIG E. this happened like 60% of the time for me. - The roster may have been big but the legends roster was bigger than the current roster when it should be the other way round seems it is a modern day CURRENT wrestling game. NOT All Stars or legends of wrestlemania. The roster was split in 2, half current half legends but including DLC which was all legends par from 3 superstars, made the legends roster bigger! Which really pissed me off. - moves did not work, e.g JTGs necksnap (player would run in wrong direction amd not do the move) Goldbergs spear (this only happened later on but he would go in the corner and when he ran he would run straight past them and miss) and there where a couple more. - character models of current superstars where the same as '13 (i understand there is a couple in 15 but still) e.g Kane, Y2J, Santino, batista ('12 model) etc. - alot of caws on cc appeared as default, this happend with move sets aswell. - Custom music fucked up the whole game. (Playing wrong music, volumes where messed up, broke the menu music.) - if u had a rivalry for a title, when it got to the PPV and the ending of the rivalry it would ignore the rivalry at the PPV and other guy wouldn't get there title shot and the rivalry would end the night after on RAW with no title shot! This was a later on problem as it accured a couple of months ago. And happend every time. - online was always going off And now with WWE 2K15 last gen they have fixed alot like... - Commentary fixed and alot smoother with custom commentary etc. - Roster has the most current superstars ever been - less legends but still a decent amount incl DLC - Inclusion of NXT guys and who got NXT is a real treat and we should all be gratefull. - sound effects are FANTASTIC!!! - Models have been improved (most of them) - titles fit round peoples waists better and are not morphed (fixed Ziggler and Brock etc.) - Motion capped moves are way better! Like Cenas AA n shit - Jukebox is fixed - removed useless unpopular modes (CAF and CAStory) - removed custom music for fucking everything up - fixed universe and updated it with story lines!!! I understand that the gameplay is the same and stuff but its LAST GEN, the next gen is kind of like the main official version of WWE 2K15 and it will be amazing!!! There not gonna waste their time adding stuff to last gen gameplay when they can put all their effort into next gen! Just think that wasting time on last gen could take away valuable time away from next gen where they can add updated attires! theme music entrances n shit! Quote
M42Productions Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 - removed useless unpopular modes (CAF and CAStory) "Useless" is a relative term. Go ask folks like CyberOcelot over on the 2K Forums, or the people behind VGCW...hell, ask ME how "useless" Story Designer is. Quote

It was just my opinion that dude, i hadnt even opened up the mode since '12. And all my friends in real life agree that it was pretty shit. Only usefull if u enjoy to recreate promos in the game for YouTube otherwise i didnt see a reason for it. Quote

Well, my real life friends don't play video games or watch wrestling, so I'm pretty much on my own. But I see where you're coming from--Story Designer's definitely not for everybody. You need a lot of patience and you have to like writing dialog, planning matches, booking angles, etc. I personally love that kind of stuff, but I know I'm in the minority. I'm just pissed off and sad to see it go, and I've got a feeling it won't show up in the current-gen versions. No offense intended. Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 CAF wasn't useless it came in handy when certain moves were not in the game. It only sucked when they made CAF's super weak. Sounds like your 2k14 Copy was a bad one i barely had any of those problems you mentioned. Quote

It takes 3-5 CAF before you can get a 3 count Quote

They were weak online but in single player they were fine I can't speak for everyone, and I'm certainly not trying to. But I can say that I've had two different copies (discs) of 2k14 since it was released and the only time created finishers ever had any power was online for me. I've made a ton, too. Still I've never had them really work correctly. Quote
