zhigge Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I'm pretty sure we will be able to add back the features that may be removed like caw a move. i don't see the code being all that different... The strives made on adding moves to games like svr2011 were able to be ported over to 13/14.. so once i get the game i will begin work on that aspect. so hopefully all is not lost. Quote
Gold Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I found create a finisher itself to be redundant, the clunky transitioning and awful animation made the created moves hard to watch, and they also never did any damage. Quote
OverTheEdge Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Individual moves that I believe were already on the disc, albeit hidden, is one thing. Adding an entire mode is not only another completely, but extremely, extremely unlikely. Quote
zhigge Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) well i believe i believe we can copy and past the previous code into this one.I'm basing this on several things but one thing in particular red was able to remove a mod from the game without any issues.right? right. we know yukes and we know that don't believe in removing stuff especially since they were given free reign this year for the 360/ps3.. anyway maybe it is just wishful thinking, but hell i got 3 weeks to try right.. oh yeah... no the moves are not on the disc you are transferring them from one game to another Edited October 26, 2014 by zhigge Quote
Red Rooster Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I have to agree with OTE, not gonna happen. Even if you move the code over, how are you going to add menu options to select the feature. Sorry dude but you're dreaming. Quote

Sorry dude but you're dreaming. Yeah not happening unless you have the source cod of the game and basically build the game from scratch lol Quote
zhigge Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 lol. so i guess we have the source code to add voices to ring announcements? i guess we have the source code to add over 100 modded wrestlers to the games each year? i guess i need source code to add moves to the game??? nope if people don't gather and try new ideas then we'd be stuck with a default roster now wouldn't we? i'm kinda shocked at the comments especially the ones from the main mod crew.. such doubt and disbelief.. forshame..as i said before i guess we will see won't we. gamingsinceatari Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Yea i doubt it. Not unless they're still on disc and can be unlocked with hex. Im just looking forward to adding some of the missing wrestlers in this year's game. And maybe adding some of the previous entrance motions. Edited October 26, 2014 by gamingsinceatari Quote
El Guapo Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I guess maybe if a feature were removed from the menu system but still left in the game code (a bit like THQ used to do with old moves during SvsR days) then maybe there might be a way to access it anyway - think the legendary 'Hot Chocolate' mission in GTA:SA But honestly, with virtually every file from 2K14 compressed just to fit it all on the disc, I really can't imagine 2K leaving any redundant features in there. It's a nice idea though. I guess we'll all have a better idea about what is possible round about Monday evening... Quote

Its called being realistic, OTE and I have both worked a fair amount with the hex code from the previous games and have a better idea than most on what would be involved with what you are suggesting. Just because you can think of something doesnt mean its possible to mod it into the game. Quote
El Buvor Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I don't see how it could be possible as long as we don't know how to add entries in the menu. I wanted to add entries in the CAE menus (to add titantrons and themes entries) but I haven't found anything related to that. Quote
bravebird31 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 While I agree that it seems highly unlikely, last year we thought a lot of the advancements that were made last year were impossible as well. So with that said, I hope you figure it out Zhigge. Quote
zhigge Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 @red. I totally understand and believe me I know what both you and OT are capable of... however i stated thats what i'm working on, why is that a problem? you know what don't answer.. someone close this thread and i will figure it out. This is the second time in less than 2 weeks where i tried to be helpful and everyone starts bitching. smh this is the same type of shit that brought down old skook reunion.. keep up the good work fellas.. I only joined this conversation because you mentioned me. Im just saying theres a lot more invloved with adding a mode like create a finisher to the game than there was for me removing Create-A-Belt (shit all I did was delete the reference to it in the arc and def). Im not telling you to not give it a try Im just saying that I dont think it will be possible but by all mean feel free to waste as many hours as you like attempting it. I just think you are better off putting your energy elsewhere and help the rest of the modding community with a project this year rather than attempting to re-invent the wheel and release nothing like you did last year. El Buvor Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) One thing that you (we) should try is to inject a custom finisher from a 2k14 save to a 2k15 save. I believe that it should work if 2k15 supports custom finishers. Start from there and see what you can do man. EDIT : Well my idea is retarded as long as there are not any created finisher section in the moveset editor I believe. Maybe if it's choosen from an external PC editor ? I never modded anything on the PS3/X-box 360, so I have no idea how difficult this is, but good luck. I'm seriously hoping for all the last gen owners' sake. I found create a finisher itself to be redundant, the clunky transitioning and awful animation made the created moves hard to watch, and they also never did any damage. Except in WWE 12 when create a finishers were overpowered because people kept on making combo moves. Someone should see if it's possible to add the damage system from WWE 12 into create a finisher as that's the only way the moves won't be so weak. Though thinking about the news, the only things 2k15 has that 2k14 doesn't have is the mandatory roster update and news moves. Maybe it might be easier to try and transfer those new guys into 2k14 (can be done) as well as transferring the new moves (keep aiming for the stars guys) into 2k14 instead. Oh man this has ruined my ambitions for this game. Was hoping to carry on what I couldn't do on 2k14 (because I have it on PS3) and do it for this game, but apparently Yukes decided to spend the year removing 1/3 the game features as an "improvement". I feel like I should just mod 2k14, but I like new moves. It's like asking would you want to watch a movie with just the audio or image, and you're thinking "why do I have to choose?" Quote
bugsyboy Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 And who is gonna do all this work ? The same people again ? For what ? What does 15 has better than 14 ? A couple moves ? It just makes no sense to even think about this. Then you have to add 100 + mods , entrances , arenas , hack 150 playlist and by the time your done 2016 is out. 1 Quote

UndertakerWLF Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 If the 2K15 models are backwards compatible then it makes more sense to strip out all the good stuff from 2K15 and then add it to 2K14....which probably wouldnt be much... 1 Quote

But is it possible to add the new moves and omg moments to 2k14? That's mainly why I thought it wouldn't be possible. I can understand those who are currently using more legends than current guys feeling this way. But at the moment I've been playing a more current universe and really want the new moves and such. For those that are using more retro stuff than current, I can't say I blame you. Hell I was even thinking of switching back to wwe2k14 once I decided to go back to a attitude/90s universe. jcsix Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Be the best first to see if models are compatible both ways (12/13/14 into 15, and then 15 into 14). Then do what you want. I personally don't use entrances or create a story so if they work in 15 (And the same or similar method of cdl is the same), I guess that would be the best option for me since all I do is exhibition matches. But I understand others like the things that have been "degraded" or took out, so I'm fine with them if they want to stay on 14. The main thing firstly is seeing the if the models do work both ways Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Thats the first thing I always try, the superstar models and the arenas. 1 Quote
