Aero Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Song of ice and fire, that series! Oh, and movies for stephen kings Tommy knockers, it, thinner, misery... A few others too Dunno if its popular but there's a book series called harry potter? Its about wizards n shit, kinda aimed at kids tho, but you could make movies out of that... Last book is pretty long tho, maybe they would break it in to 2 movies! Final, lord of the rings Quote
fufu ÷ Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Come on, Aero. Even Nazza with his one half functioning braincell beat you to that pun. I expect better. 1 Quote

Personally I'm hoping some form of the Dark Tower meta-series takes shape. The current film landscape is deprived of good westerns, especially incredibly violent westerns set in a fantasy world. supa! Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Pokemon, directed by Christopher Nolan. Nuff' said. Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Basically any manga ever, directed by Christopher Nolan. Preferably Naruto, the only Anime I was ever able to watch...as a kid. Quote

jitz Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 All of Frank Darabont's adaptions are great, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist. On the mini-series front, The Stand while horrendously dated now, was pretty good. Plus Under the Dome seems to be doing pretty well on TV these days. The problem stems from everyone wanting their own Stephen King cash cow, there's a lot of bad adaptions. But he still has more great adaptions than any other author. Quote

jitz Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Yeah if they made a Buffy movie now it would be an awful reboot. Quote
