But with the first year under their belts, 2K Sports had no doubt that the series was going to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in ‘14.

“As soon as we finished ‘WWE 2K14,’ we knew we wanted to bring it out onto the new-generation of hardware,” Little said. “We wanted to be able to create those new experiences, new level of visuals and gameplay presentation. We believe we’ve done that.”

But looking better and playing better aren’t enough for the series next-generation debut, 2K said. For years, gamers have complained about the series bland and repetitive commentary and this year appears to be the one that the problem has been eliminated.

“We spent more hours with Michael Cole and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler than ever before,” Little added. “ We recorded more than five times the lines than were ever recorded in a previous year. We spent most of those lines with them sitting side by side in our studio calling a match, just like they would at ringside. When they’re commentating on the game, it sounds like they’re commentating at ringside on TV. The quality of that experience goes through the roof.”

The presentation experience, 2K says, has everything to do with their working relationship with the WWE, which in-part will change the way the game sounds, completely.

I am inclined to disagree.

People have been complaining about the commentary for a decade now. To say that they have addressed that is news. It may not be what you may have wanted but it is good info
