Fozy Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Is being taken over by Colin Farrell and the unfunniest comedian in the business, Vince Vaughn. Surprisingly, even with my fucking disdain of Vince 'CUNT' Vaughn. I am excited as I know a good script and a good lead in Farrell can make this live up to the standards of Season 1. But seriously, fuck Vince 'I play the same role for every movie I'm in' Vaughn. Quote
Tamer™ Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I don't watch True Detective but I'd like to add that Vince Vaughn is indeed pretty boring. He's just there in movies. Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 oh no serious vince vaughn, that's never good Quote
Red Rooster Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I always hated Matthew Mcconaughey until his performance in True Detective, if they can get that calibre of performance out of Vince Vaughn then ill be impressed. Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 To be fair to McConaughey he really started to pick up the pace with Bernie Quote
jitz Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I thought the first season was good until it went nowhere, realised it was the last episode and wrapped everything up really quickly. Quote
Fozy Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of the ending either. Was pretty anti-climatic. I love Matthew McConaughey. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 He's great. The Adam Sandler of our time. Quote
Fozy Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Adam Sandler was great for a time! Quote

Fozy Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Great example of him being shit, thanks Joey. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 He's still better than Robert Downey Jr. Quote
Fozy Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Kiss Kiss Bang Bang says otherwise. Quote
Aero Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 most comedy actors fall to the same problem, ben stiller, owen wilson and such the like too, shit happens! even if you liked them to start off with, eventually they become stale and you start hating most of their work! also, Matthew McConaghy... Dazed & Confused.... LEGEND! Quote
Fozy Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 I feel as though comedy actors can make the best drama actors. Quote
delete Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I did like season one, but since the announcement of the cast of season 2 I'm a little bit deterred. I think I'll watch S02E01 and decide whether I want to carry on watching it or not. Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Finished watching the first episode, very good start to the season and it's fair to say Colin Farrell is going to be the star of the season excellent performance from him Quote
Fozy Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 I could have seen that a mile away, he's a great actor. Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 I could have seen that a mile away, he's a great actor.Maybe being premature but I didn't expect him to reach Rust Cohle level of interesting Also thoughts on the new theme song? I don't like it Quote
