Steve ® Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 For doubters of laptop gaming, check out the Lenovo Y50. The cooling system is great. I have had the laptop for just over a week and have been running next-gen games on ultra. You can get the laptop for a great price aswell. I highly recommend it for pc gaming. thanks Quote

I have the one with 16GB ram, Intel i7-4710HQ CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 4GB. The Y50 is available with lesser specs but im not sure how they run. My only gripe is you get a good laptop and then 6 months later a new gfx card is coming out lol Quote
seanironmaiden Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 This is just brilliant news. I have a Mac Pro 2010 with 32gigs of ram, hopefully I'll be able to run it ok from windows in Bootcamp or Parallels. Or if someone can make a wrapper so it will run on Mac like what's been done for GTA and Skyrim in the past... Quote

I prefer ASUS over Lenovo, they are better suited (and last longer), in my opinion (i'm a tech freak and a nerd for specific specs). Quote

Asus has a sweet 17' too Quote
seanironmaiden Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I know it's probably hard to predict, but what's the likelihood that going forward, if the series stays on PC that injecting models from a past game will be a lot simpler than on consoles? Would there be less restrictions in terms of the number of wrestlers you can add to the game? I'm guessing with the new engine, the model format will stay the same for quite a few years to come, so I'm talking down the line, like adding 2k14 models to 2k15 Quote

I'm guessing with the new engine, the model format will stay the same for quite a few years to come, so I'm talking down the line, like adding 2k14 models to 2k15 I wouldn't count on it, unless the model format is the same, which I highly doubt, or the PC version model format is figured out to convert the older models, which I don't know the chances of. Also in terms of the quality of the models, as OverTheEdge said, it'll will be like comparing the PS2 models to the 360/PS3 models, so yeah, they might not be worth converting as they might not even hold up that well, but hey, who knows.. Far, far far too early to say. Since they no longer use 3DSMax, and seemingly started from scratch with the bodyscan models, it's safe to say they also use an all new bone structure, so simple "injection" will definitely not work, but if you ripped the models from past games, and someone reverse engineered the 2K15 models, and then you re-rig it the old model to the 2K15 skeleton, then who knows from there. Yeah I had the Asus G something series (it's been a while since it died lol) and it played pretty much every game (current at the time) I threw at it Quote
seanironmaiden Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Sorry, I meant to say adding a 2K15 model to 2K16 when its released, assuming format in the same. obviously model format is different between generations. Actually on a related note, is it definitely not 3d max they use for the models now? Not that it would work in the current way of modding where the vertexes have to be the exact same.... but there's this new app called Autodesk 123D catch. It basically allows you to take multiple photos ( between 20 and 50 ) of a subject ( person or object ), walking around it 360, from both high, low and middle angles. After a lot of processing, the app is able to use all the photos as reference, separate the object from the background, generate a 3d model and even texture it using an automatically generated texture from all the reference pics. I heard about it last night and got out of bed to give it a try, lol. I used an Undertaker figurine and took a few photos and the results were pretty impressive. FYI, the photos I took weren't the best, kept telling me it was out of focus which it was and the lighting / background was poor. I just did it very roughly but still came out with a cool 3d model. Imagine the possibilities of this ( you can use them in 3d editing software then ). Could be pretty cool to scan in some of the decent figures Mattel have made over the years. at least the faces.. then again, you can probably do that with the face scanning software that's rumoured to be in CAW mode. lol Anyway its a pretty awesome app either way whether it ever leads to anything that'd be importable... here's a few pics of the generated model Quote
Fozy Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 The game won't be out for a while on PC if it does come out, that is. Quote

Fozy Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 You think the game will come out the same time as the others, yet there's been absolutely zero mention of it anywhere? Sorry, I like to use my brain sometimes. Quote
King87 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 The game will probably drop 1st quarter next yr imo. Its a pc version so the game will be a port just like wwf raw pc but with im thinking minor differences. Idk just a guess lol either way tho i'm getting it for sure. Not release date but whenever it becomes cheap no need to pay full price for 3 different copies of one game. Quote

Gotta agree as well man, WWE'2K15 could be like GTA V in terms of a PC release, maybe not as long, but it could take quite a while. 2K Games and Rockstar Games do have the same parent company after all.. El Buvor Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Hmmm, wasn't the WWE Network Roster Reveal Part 1 video edited after the existence of the PC version of the game was leaked ? Quote
OverTheEdge Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Hmmm, wasn't the WWE Network Roster Reveal Part 1 video edited after the existence of the PC version of the game was leaked ? It leaked during Monday night's edit of the first part of the roster reveal. Seeing as there's been no official mention of it by 2K or anything outside of that, my guess is as follows: They're probably not going to announce the PC version until either the PS4/XBO versions are out or until after the holidays themselves. I could then see it having a release date of sometime around WrestleMania. If there's one thing they've made clear, it's that they want to boost the sales of the PS4/XBO versions as much as they can. So putting the PC version out anytime around then makes zero sense from a marketing standpoint. Plus, PC versions of games typically have a later release date than their console counterparts as it is. Quote

I wouldn't be surprised if 2k got mad at wwe for leaking it They got real mad at 2k last year for posting the current roster on wwe.com last year. Although if wwe hadn't have done that, we wouldn't have gotten the roster till probably 2 weeks b4 the game came out lol Quote

Adapt Or Perish Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 So I messaged 2K support about the PC version, and here's their response "Thank you very much for the positive feedback on our game. We are always very grateful to hear back from fans who enjoy the WWE franchise. We are also very excited for the release! Concerning, whether WWE2K15 will be released for PC, I'm afraid I'm not allowed to disclose this information. However I strongly suggest that you follow the 2K Twitter Feed: https://twitter.com/2KHere you fill find all the official announcements and, since WWE2K15 is coming soon, there should also be an update on PC-Release."
