UndertakerWLF Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 If you think about it why would they change anything for the current systems? making changes to models, file structures would take them longer and cost more money. I think 2k15 will be nothing more than a port of 2k14 with a slight changes which some will moan about but for us modders its great The real change will be for next gen consoles, I also cannot see them changing the file structure though, way to much work. Just hoping they don't keep with the same PS3 save format as they did in WWE2K14.... 1 Quote
Titavius Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 when you think about the timespan that '12, '13, 14' and eventually '15 will cover, i think the modding scene here will only get better and better. if 15 is indeed a port of 14, then we're literally just picking up where we left off, no information or progress wasted. it'll be ideal to be able to just transfer everything to the new game. Titavius Posted October 25, 2014 Author Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) Quick update on this, and I'm sure we've all seen the videos. 2K15 is basically a carbon copy of 2K14 only with an updated roster and several new Arenas. Good news for Modders, not so good for everybody else. (Do we care about everybody else?) Word going around, is that 2K let Yukes have complete freedom over 2K15, whilst VC had very little if nothing at all to do with the 360/PS3 version. Again, good news for us, as it means the game is likley engineered in a similar way to the last three. I can't tell from the videos, but the new lighting doesn't seem to have been included in the last gen version. I dunno, if it has, then the only thing we'd possibly need to contend with is the shading parameters on the new models. All in all, I'm excited now, as it seems as though it'll be a smooth transition from 2K14 to 15 (or vice versa) without any real hiccups. Everything about '15 screams 12, 13 and 14. Everything, down to the textures used in the Arenas are what we're familiar with. Edited October 25, 2014 by Titan83 Quote
El Buvor Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) Hey Modders, I think that we are going to have some work after the game release. We must fix the game mistakes guys, it's a LOT of work, starting with the textures mapping, find the error : So it's a good thing that WWE2k15 still uses the same basics, we can mod everything ! jcsix Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Couldnt agree more! Im really happy how its turning out for modders. Hopefully CDL is a similar process and works Quote

I hope that's the only texture mapping issue we have! We'll probably find that in reply mode, the models face texture appears on it's ass instead of it's face.. Quote
Gold Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 It's you the modders and creators that make this game series not the cunts who make it, looks like i'm going to have to learn how to mod, there's plenty of tutorials, so i thank the makers of them Quote
Codes. Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Would it be possible just to import the new moves/entrances from 2k15 to 2k14 and just call it a day? Quote
OverTheEdge Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Would it be possible just to import the new moves/entrances from 2k15 to 2k14 and just call it a day? Moves? Doubtful--at least I've yet to see anything successfully done there. Entrances? Far more likely. If they're the exactly same type of files (which, given how much little effort was put into the game, it seems as though they will be) then I don't see why not. Quote
Red Rooster Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 No custom music for entrances pretty much seals it for me, sticking with 2k14 Quote
El Buvor Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Would it be possible just to import the new moves/entrances from 2k15 to 2k14 and just call it a day? Yeah for the entrances, maybe for the moves, we should try something with that. We can import almost everything we need in order to make "updated" DLCs for 2k14. 1 Quote
bugsyboy Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 No custom music for entrances pretty much seals it for me, sticking with 2k14 Yeah me too bro, entrance music are one of the most important thing in a wrestling game. How stupid are you to remove that option ? Anyway my game now look nothing like 2k14 , most of the visual is change , when i upload my menu its gonna feel like a brand new game. Lets just import everything over will save a good 3 months of work just there Quote
LordBarker Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 No custom music for entrances pretty much seals it for me, sticking with 2k14 Is this right? Bloody load of nonsense, definately sticking with 14 especially with the incredible mods and the work I'm putting into the audio pck. Quote
Judders Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Took them two years, but they completely killed CAW mode for regular users. First custom trons, and now custom music. Bad form. Quote

Titavius Posted October 25, 2014 Author Posted October 25, 2014 A Ruthless Agression DLC for 2K14 would be pretty sweet. There's a shit ton of RA models/attires in 15, as well as the Arenas. Would be a good way to bring them over? Quote
Dnlson889 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I honestly can't wait to get my hands on opening the game files for the first time, I feel like a kid on Christmas. Quote

No custom music in entrances?? F*ck up 2k15 then!! I´m only sad about new moves (Specially for Sting and other legends) and probably I can´t add all the entrances I would like for new wrestlers. LordBarker Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Even if we can't import I'm staying with 2k14. In reality what will we be getting? A Sid that's probably worse than Bugsy's great work, a Macho King without a crown in the same wm7 attire we had 2 years ago? Yeah Sherri will be cool, as will the Triangle of Terror and another attire for Rude, but even if we can't import I'm not too worried as the Legends mods are absolutely immense and will keep me hooked well into next year. kim666 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 removing the entrance music is so stupid, i hope they improved the universe mode. Quote
