This is probably going to be another complete waste of effort, because when you give somebody an answer around here, it get's swept under the rug along with everybody else's opinion. however what I'm about to say (i think now probably for the eleventh time) is not an opinion. this is it. straight up, what's happening, hard fact. 

 

CM Punks impending lawsuit will have absolutely jack squat to do with 2K sports, take-two interactive, yukes or even visual concepts, which means it will have zero effect on the video game, it's release date or it's character roster. that's it. read it back, read it three times if you like, take it in. 

 

This is between WWE and CM Punk. I know how much you people love quotes and sources, so here's one. "WWE is now worth $1.25 billion dollars, as their company stock has doubled since the start of 2013" (The Wrestling Observer)

 

WWE will happily pay CM Punk his money if push comes to shove, it's no skin off their nose. Obviously, anybody would try to avoid it if they had the means to, but they will also quite happily go to court, because they can. Simple as that. They can! still no skin off their nose either way. They are not delaying their video game. They've already sold well over a million copies through pre-order sales, and that figure is rising as we speak and will continue to.

Actually this has much to do with 2K. See, when someone is in the licensed video game, they receive money. Punk is in this game, even though he never got scanned. And maybe he also thinks he's due money from when he decided to leave in the middle of a feud.  Now he thinks he can get some extra cash off of these things.  2K should just scrap the Punk-Cena rivalry and do something instead, and WWE should remind Punk that he walked out on the company when they needed him.  There is no reason for a company already in decline to lose even more money, so doing what I mentioned would be logical.  

 

Finally, no need to call everyone else morons. Everybody has rights to opinion, even people you don't agree with. Calling other people idiots is not going to help you out in the long run.

Well, not to sound condescending or anything, but you're wrong. i appreciate people have opinions, but to have an opinion on this subject is silly. there is what's right, and what's wrong. 

 

2K is essentially being hired by the WWE, much like the relationship they have with the NBA. The WWE hires them to publish the video game, and 2K work with Yukes and visual concepts to design and engineer it. The CM Punk situation is between him and WWE and WWE only. If WWE chose to put out a brand new CM Punk action figure next month, does that mean CM Punk gets to sue Mattell as well? No. WWE receive the royalties, and the talent receive their share from the WWE (who employ the talent).

 

2K won't remove the CM Punk / Cena rivalry, as the game is way too late into production. Not gonna happen.

 

The whole moron thing is just me venting. When you offer an answer and everybody ignores you with their "zomg, Punk is gonna stop 2K15!", it starts to get very irritating.

You could say that but you'd be wrong. He's still being portrayed as CM Punk. I'm not saying this is what is happening at all, I'm just saying its a possibility if Punk actually wanted to take this further. He doesn't. So people getting mad at him are delusional.
