fufu ÷ Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 It's more about the size than the look or taste. 14 layers of self standing cake is huge feet of engineering skill - especially at these weights. It's always nerve jingling to take out the scaffolding and see if it will hold up on it's own. I've lost a few good cakes to the floor over the years. Quote

Big Pete® Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) I can make a lot. I cook as a hobby. Not being funny codes, but that's just mashed patato (or grits) and some sort of breaded meat... with a piss poor salad... cook a spag bol or a chilli from scratch, that's skill Edited September 4, 2014 by Big Pete® Quote
Codes. Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Fine. Homemade traditional Italian sauce. Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Fine. Homemade traditional Italian sauce. That's exactly how my selfmade spaghetti looked like. Quote

The Don Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Let's see. I grew up learning to cook from my mom and one of my aunts so by about 7th grade I could make stuff like lasagna, country fried steak, chili and homemade alfredo. In high school I spent the first half of the day for 2.5 years in a culinary arts class that earned credits to my diploma where I learned to make everything from eggs benedict to shrimp scampi. Actually for that last half year I was there teh teacher and her husband own a few restaurants not far from where I lived so she gave me a "Show up when you want, learn with our chefs and help them out and we'll pay you." job. Actually one fucked up creation a buddy and I made in the class ended up in their menu for a little over a year and sold well enough that a few people were looking for it when it was finally taken off the menu. So I got cooking game, Son. I don't cook as much anymore since I hate cleaning up after but from time to time I'll still whip up some pretty spiffy shit int he kitchen like fried chicken tenderloins with a walnut honey sauce.
